“My husband and I have both been to Contour Dermatology. Their staff is very friendly and professional. But, they are very, very expensive, and of course, most procedures are considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance. Which makes me wonder why they run my insurance through just to collect the copay from me, when the know insurance won't cover it. So that's a little trick they play, which I'm sure most people don't think about. I have asked them not to run it, and they said, "we have to," which they don't. Also, consultations just to inquire about a procedure cost a minimum of $75. I also find it annoying that they hard sell all their skin products to you. It gets tiresome. Plus, those are also outrageous prices. The technicians are very good, friendly and professional. They have two offices in Rancho Mirage but fail to tell you which one you should go to for your appointment. So inevitably, I go to the wrong one. I can tell that irritates a lot of people. The wait is long, even if you've made an appointment. The fees for very basic services like having skin tags removed are quite expensive. I have a credit on my account, so I'll be going one more time for a deep cleansing facial. But I don't feel like a patient here, I feel like a cog in their money-making machine.“
