I cannot say enough good things about Mel at Prim Hair Studio. She gave me the best service, the most flawless extensions, and the most positive energy I’ve ever experienced in a salon. Mel is incredibly sweet and down to earth, and she truly listens to what you want. She’s honest, thoughtful, and her color work is absolutely stunning. She somehow gets it perfect every single time.

I’ve been a customer for about 3 years at Prim. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I want to share how much I trust this place and my stylist, Melanie. I started with very damaged hair that has become so much more full and healthy— thanks to Melanie’s gentle encouragement and expertise. I’ve even had highlights throughout this hair journey, which really speaks to Melanie’s skills. I had avoided salons for over a decade because of the reprimanding I used to receive. Their hair extensions are amazingly done! I’ve had hair treatments, repair, highlights, cuts, color, and this place is the only place in the peninsula where you can let them take full control and let them do what they suggest. I’ve asked for some things but usually I tell my stylist to have fun and style and color how she thinks best for my face shape and season, taking into consideration my profession. Imagine telling your stylist (do whatever you think will work!) I do it every time now. They’ve never steered me wrong, always fun and beautiful colors and toning.
