“Our 8 year-old son started here when he was 5. A friend recommended this studio and we enrolled him in the Little Dragons program. This is a fantastic school and the staff here are skilled at working with children and teens, as well as adults. My son has called this his “second home” and I think this speaks volume about this place. I have seen my son’s confidence grow as a result of his time there. We are parents who firmly believe it is never too early to teach children the importance of discipline, respect, and focus. Sasaki Kenpo teaches these important principles in a safe, positive, and fun environment. What I love about this place is that all the Sifus, junior instructors, and students are very supportive of one another, and students are always working towards something, whether it’s a stripe or a new belt rank. Parents, if you are on the fence about getting your kids into martial arts at Sasaki Kenpo, don’t hesitate and take advantage of their promotional offers! The front desk staff (Valerie and Celeste) are great and can explain the program options. Yes, it can be a time commitment when your child moves to the higher ranks, but I think children get a pretty well-rounded experience with the combat/sparring and weapons training on top of it. Also if your child is competitive, the school also participates in martial arts tournaments and the head Sifus will take the time to train your child to prep for them. My son is just a purple belt now but has his eyes set on earning his black belt. I am confident that he will carry everything he has learned with him as he moves through life, and as a parent, that is the best feeling! I am thankful for this place and am truly happy that my son has found something that speaks to him.“

“Master Shin has been amazing when helping my daughter come out of her shell. Before we started, she didnt want to participate any extra curricular activities and was having trouble in school and with bullying. When we started she spent 45 days crying and watching the class from the side of the mat because she was too shy to participate. Master Shin and all of the instructors took the time to gain her trust and she has grown to love coming to the studio and working hard. In just 11 months my daughter has worked hard and earned 4 belts and gained lifelong skills that transfer into the real world.
