Love LOVE this hospital. I had great care from the doctors, nurses & other staff. I had a severe retinal detachment and was losing my vision. I was rushed around and taken care of ASAP. Yes, the ER wait was long but be glad you are able to sit in the ER and not taken back. If you’re taken back immediately, then your case is more severe. I had a panic attack because of how fast everything was moving & had to go into surgery. The doctors & nurses were beyond caring & made sure I was calm. Thank you again to all the staff! I wish I could give you all the biggest hug 🥺🩷🙏🏼
I had a recent ER visit regarding my eye and what a great experience from the moment I walked in the door. First of all, one always expects a long waiting time in an ER environment. This wasn't the case at the UCI Medical Center Emergency Room. The first point of contact was the Triage Nurse. She took my vitals and collected all the information for my next step in the process. She was efficient and provided excellent patient service with a smile-WOW! Next, I was walked to the Physician station who did an overall examine and who thoroughly explained what was occurring with my eye. He assured me everything was good with my eye.
