We had to come here unfortunately for an emergency. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Kind, considerate, understanding. Explained everything to me. Provided numbers to call when I left to rest at home. Of course this is a busy hospital in a densely populated area - so the wait time is understandably long. That does not reflect the quality of service.
COULDNT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT UCI. FROM THE JANITOR TO THE TOP DR'S AT UCI. THEY GO THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE IN ANY SITUATION YOU MAY BE GOING THROUGH. TOP NOTCH HOSPITAL. I HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE TO ALL THE MEDICAL STAFF WHO HAVE ASSISTED ME IN KEEPING ME HEATHY AND STAYI;NG HEALTHY. WITHOUT THEM I COULDNT BE WHERE IM AT IN MY LIFE TODAY. THANK YOU UCI
Summary: Be prepared for a bill for $666.04 to talk to a Physician Assistant for 25 minutes. Details: First, I want to say that the quality of the provider was excellent. I saw a Physician Assistant, Eva Larson, and she was kind, compassionate and very well- informed. The reason for my 2-star rating of UCI Medical Center is their billing practice. I was in the exam room for about 25 minutes and I only saw the Physician Assistant, not an MD. I was absolutely stunned to received a bill for $666.04 for this service! The CPT code used for my visit indicates 40 minutes of care. Because I was certainly not talking with Eva Larson for 40 minutes I called the billing department...read full review
