“Just moved to the area and was in need of a new barber. Saw the reviews, including ones specifically mentioning Lucas, and was excited that there was an opening next day with him. I was Lucas' first appointment for the day, showed up 15 minutes early and was seated immediately. Showed Lucas a picture of what I wanted with some requested alterations. The result was spot on, amazing attention to detail, fantastic job! For someone used to the average hair cut experience, getting a razor shave on the back of the neck, aftershave, overall quality of the cut and other amenities was great for the price. Additionally, Lucas was attentive to my comfort and (as I'm not usually very social) I enjoyed the light conversation. I liked the atmosphere/decor. I will definitely be returning for my next cut.“

“I’m definitely overdue for this review because we’ve been going to Catrins for almost a year now.

My boys had been getting their hair cut by the same person since their very first haircut, so when she moved out of town I had to start from scratch. I wanted to find a place that understood their mixed curly hair, but I also wanted somewhere they would enjoy going. Haircuts have always been kind of a thing the boys and I do together, so the experience matters too.

The first time we went to Catrins, our schedule was crazy and I booked three different barbers at the same time so we could all get in and out. That felt like a bit of a gamble, but fortunately we hit on all three. Lance, Rebekah and Cass have all been awesome. They listen to what we want, do a great job with my boys’ hair and are really good at making them feel comfortable and keeping them involved in the conversation. A lot of times it turns into one conversation with everyone in the shop instead of each barber doing their own thing, and my kids dig that. The shop has a fun vibe, but more importantly they’re really good at what they do. I even brought Grandpa in for a haircut when he was in town and he was 100% happy too, so I guess they’ve got every age group covered. Really glad we found this place.“

“I went to Supercuts on Saturday evening. Tasha took me in immediately. I’m always apprehensive about a new hairdresser because in my experience few seem capable or confident with a pixie cut. So I brought her a pic from the internet of Jada pinkett smith. It was the first pic that came up when I searched pixie pic. It’s about exactly what I wanted and she looks gorgeous in it. Tasha took one look, loved it too and immediately got to work. My hair had been all overgrown and shapeless but she made it about as close to perfect as I could hope for. It all took less than half an hour, I didn’t have anything else done. So next time you’re in Oceanside if you need a good haircut, especially a pixie try Supercuts in the mall on Maren rd. (Tasha doesn’t generally work Saturdays so be sure to get an appointment with her. She’s fun to talk to)“

“Started coming here a few months ago and loved having Zee as my barber. She was always on time and ready whenever she had appointments with her clients. Ari and Ty are awesome dudes who helped get me in when Zee wasn’t available. Can’t say much for Marcos as he was a no show for two appointments. But if you’re not on a time crunch and don’t mind waiting over an hour for him to maybe show… well he’s your guy. Aside from that everyone else in the shop is super friendly and willing to work with each other to get you what you need.“

I came in not really knowing what I wanted with long overgrown hair and he gave me some confident professional guidance backed by his 20 years of experience and on top of that was a great conversationalist and I felt genuinely cared for.
