i am moved to write my very first YELP review for Denise who runs Redwood Hair Design. She is a local Laurel Business owner and has had her shop in my neighborhood for many years. I visited her for my own hair needs for the first time recently.... and I should have gone long ago. I believe I received the best cut and highlight of my life!! Denise took the time to understand what I wanted and needed. Her work was methodical, gentle and precise. She was determined to get the color just right (and she did). Lacey has done my hair, makeup for special occasions, you name it, she can do it. This is such a convenient location in Oakland; just a few blocks from my home. She has even done my makeup for photo shoots and beyond. Denise, the owner, is a sweetheart, and Maria hair stylist is also very nice. Here is a photo of a recent "doo" Lacey did for me:

Lacey is a great stylist. She has such a fun and bubbly personality and makes your day! She is great at what she does and loves doing it. She has been doing my hair since 2007 and I love crazy styles/colors and she has never hesitated to dive in! I highly recomend her to both men and women - even children, she is GREAT with the little ones!
