“a few months ago we hired Bary Scenery to start with a design for our ADU and backyard landscaping. After looking at a few contractors and also designers we decided to go with a design and build. Talked to the owner, Ali, about the process and he was very clear as to the fact that they design under the contractor license so if they end up getting the permit they are the only ones that can build it but he also said if they decide not to build with them we can shop around and get our own contractor but that contractor has to do their own permit work. Checked with local city and they confirmed that is the case, so we hired them to start with design.

Their team is local in Mountain View and have a nice design studio, worked with head of design Behdad a lot, he has a lot of architectural educational background from Italy and his style of work is very unique. They designed our ADU and our backyard in about 2 months timeframe and gave us details for the construction cost as well. We shopped around and found out that other builders prices were very similar to Bay Scenery but they did not want to deal with Permit nor they seems to have both trades we need which were General Contractor and Landscape Contract and we would have to deal with multiple companies ourselves which was not ideal considering our own daily work load.

Signed the contract to build with Bay Scenery, they have taken care of all of the permit work like clockwork and kept us in the loop. Few challenges from the city that they are working on and we are about to start build.

I must say we were not too sure about a design and build but found that the Bay Scenery team were the most transparent and honest about the process and so far have enjoyed working with them.“

“10/10 excellent!! They converted an empty space (literally just dirt) into a beautiful functional backyard, all in 2 weeks! I loved the straightforward process, from start to finish. No flowery business, no unnecessary airs like those APLD snobs!! Towards the end, there was a slight hiccup, but it was promptly addressed and voila! our lovely new backyard project was complete. Special shoutout to the awesome team of gentlemen who did all the work- they are real artisans! They also bring their own porta potty, so that's really convenient too! ;) All in All- highly recommend.“

“Oscar Maciel & his crew did an excellent job! They installed the landscaping design of their fellow System Pavers designer, Sarah Slatter, for our new home that came with no existing landscaping in the backyard. It was a big job. This included pavers for a backyard patio & a pathway for the front/side of the house, pea gravel pathways with borders, angilia edging around the planting areas, & a gravel pad for a shed. They also had to bring in soil to level & build up certain areas. We were very happy with the quality of their work & the materials used, & the excellent service provided. Oscar’s crew were hardworking & very respectful, & Oscar came on site every day to monitor the progress & communicate with us. I valued his knowledge & willingness to share his ideas & expertise. He also paid attention to drainage needs & made adjustments as needed. Both he & Sarah were able to suggest a range of long-lasting quality options & alternatives based on our desire to stay within a budget range. I would highly recommend Oscar & his team of System Pavers. They did a super job & could not have been nicer!“

“Jenna has designed multiple gardens for me over the last 22 years at different homes each time we moved. All of the gardens have been stunningly beautiful and lasted for years with plants that were blooming in every season. She most recently did a cottage garden for me in May of 2024 and I was blown away with how quickly and competently the whole project was done by everyone on her team. He came to my house on multiple occasions and assessed the house and offered his advise. When it was all said and done, he did not charge me a thing. Just good people helping people in need, we need more people like them in the world!“
