“We are first-time homebuyers and had a lot of work to be done, with a quick turnaround time for us to be able to move in, on schedule. Daniel and his crew not only met the deadline agreed upon but did excellent work and even finished a day ahead of schedule.
The estimate/bid was detailed and organized and an easy reference throughout the project. There were no unexpected charges. Daniel felt like a true advocate for us and our wishes from start to finish.
Daniel communicated with us every step of the way, sometimes daily and was great at reassuring us that, even after running into unexpected hurdles, all would be done well and within the deadline. Having very little experience with remodels ourselves, Daniel was helpful explaining everything to us, as well as answering any questions we had along the way. We absolutely felt like our requests were heard and that we could put our trust in Daniel and his team with our new home.”

“Review of Jackie Mendez DesignWe needed design ideas, drawings, and recommendations for submitting plans for a permit to build and ADU in the basement of our house in the City of Napa. We were so fortunate to be referred to Jackie Mendez who has been exceptional in responding to our requirements and especially helping us navigate the rules and requirement for development within the City of Napa.Jackie worked in close collaboration with us, visited the site to take all necessary measurements, then drafting a plan that perfectly positioned the ADU within the available space. She was very responsive to all of the comments from the city planning and building departments, responding in the appropriate fashion to meet the requirements of the city departments.I would recommend her without hesitation for providing design and drafting support for any ADU project. The quality of her work was excellent, her availability was outstanding, and her fee was very reasonable for the amount of work performed.Michael and Madeline Rogers”

“We have just completed an extensive renovation of our 1930s home, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. The goal was to completely update the home while preserving some of its original character, including the original kitchen cabinets, which were beautifully restored, the original hardwood floors, and the fireplace.
JS Design + Build handled every aspect of the project, from the initial design and planning to the construction and interior design. Having one team oversee the entire process made such a difference and helped create a home that feels cohesive while still honoring its original charm.
The renovation took approximately a year and a half, and as can be expected when renovating a home of this age, there were several unexpected issues along the way. Each challenge was handled professionally, thoughtfully, and with great attention to detail. They worked through the problems as they arose and always kept the overall vision for the home in mind.
What impressed me most was their ability to take what I envisioned and bring it to life. After such an extensive renovation, the finished home turned out exactly as I had hoped. It feels updated and beautiful while still retaining the warmth and character of the house I grew up in.
I’m very pleased with both the experience and the finished project and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a major renovation, especially one where preserving the character of an older home is important.”
