“Adam and his crew was nothing short of impressive!! Our home was in desperate need of new bathrooms, so I reached out to Creative Construction Company and Adam was quick to respond. He met me at the job site, to give me an estimate along with a time frame to begin and finish the project. We agreed on a contract a very short time later. He began construction on time and ended the project EARLY; unheard of, it was wonderful!! It was quite a project, and came with a few unknown surprises. This did not phase Adam or his team. It was addressed, we came to a solution quickly, and moved forward without hesitation. Creative Construction Company was always available for all of our needs, saving us so much time and headache not needing to figure out how to get product or accept product being delivered to the house. Thank you Adam and your team for a wonderful experience, we LOVE our new bathrooms!!!“

“I worked with Good Guy Builders (GGB) on a medium size home renovation in Healdsburg. Scope of work included: Complete renovation of all three bathrooms, Installation of new hardwood floors throughout house and new banister, Painting throughout house, Installation of new larger patio door, Tiling the mantle, Installation of new fence, Ripping out several built ins, Electrical, Plumbing, and several other smaller items. PROs: -Quality: The quality of Good Guy Builders work is A+. I really had zero complaints and they far exceeded my expectations on quality. Some places they really excelled -- tiling for the bathroom (I picked a really finicky Moroccan tile to install and they did so beautifully), flooring, banister (I gave them a picture of what I wanted and they truly replicated it), painting. Because GGB employs its people, versus subcontracting, it has a lot more control over quality and timelines. -Communication: I texted or emailed with Mark several times a day for months and he would respond same day and most of the time within a few hours at most. -Customer Service: *When I was first looking for contractors, I started by soliciting references from friends and acquaintances but I couldn't find anyone. I then resorted to Google and Yelp, hence how I found GGB. I ended up going with GGB because I had a good feeling that Mark seemed like a good guy. And I'm glad I was right! You don't need to be worried about Mark stiffing you or abandoning you mid project. *There were two or three very minor mistakes done. GGB fixed them immediately at their cost no questions asked. *When I had a concern about cost, Mark asked me to propose what I would need to walk away satisfied. He accepted my modest proposal without negotiation. I'm sure if I asked for more there would have been negotiation but I'm happy he didn't try to nickel and dime me. -Daily Reports: I wasn't living in the house at the time of the renovation but I would try to come up at least once a week. In lieu of being there full time, having the pictures from the daily reports was very helpful. -Timing: The project took a pinch longer than expected but to be fair I kept on increasing the scope of the project. My one requirement throughout the project was that I wanted to spend Christmas at the house, which Mark was able to accommodate. There was still a punch list of items but it was livable during Christmas. A true Christmas miracle! What to do next time: I don't want to call these Cons because these likely apply to every contractor, so these are more learning experiences. -Price: *GGB is definitely not a budget contractor, but the quality was great so I suppose you get what you pay for. In hindsight, what I would have done was ask for a budget on each major bucket of work rather than a lump sum budget. I kept on adding work as time went on, but without updating the master budget, which left me a little surprised at the end. *GGB charges hourly. On the one hand, with an hourly charge there's no incentive to cut corners. On the other hand, it's easy to exceed budget expectations. I'm not sure which system is better, but just know what you're getting yourself into. *I ended up using GGB for the entire scope of work because it was easier to have GGB just manage the whole project, particularly when it was crunch time, and there were a lot of workers on site. However, I would consider outsourcing certain parts of the work to other vendors, not for quality (because GGB did a great job) but just to see if I could better manage the cost. Mark was very open from the start that I didn't need to use GGB for everything. -I purchased as much as I could myself -- all fixtures, flooring, tile, etc -- and while being able to leverage Mark's contractor discount. I liked doing this because I liked having more control over the ordering and timelines of materials and of course the benefit of credit card points. -Make sure to think about labor costs in addition to materials costs. I used a small Moroccan tile for two of “

“I was looking for a high quality one stop shop for my extensive home remodel in Napa, CA. Being aware of the difficulties coordinating a design team and drawings with the actual builder, I wanted someone who could handle both seamlessly. JS Design Build was that company.I initially visited their website, which is elegantly designed and left a strong impression upon me with the work they have done. Then I reached out to Judy Schindler (the JS in the name!) and she promptly called me back. Our initial conversation was great, I could tell she knew how to both design the home I wanted and then build it. She was also very honest about the timeline from design to build, as well as the costs. She let me know right away what I was getting myself into, no surprises! The design phase was great. Judy is an excellent communicator and she knows how to extract the answers she needs out of you, a rare talent! Once the design was set, we moved in to the build phase. JS Design Build took care of everything including permits. The fact that they were the designer and builder allowed them to handle things quickly in the field as they popped up. When you demo an older home, surprises can pop up which then lead to design changes. This was the reason I wanted a design build firm to do my project. The communication was great throughout the entire process. Before construction began, Judy personally visited my neighbors and left them her contact info. My neighbors told me how nice she was and gave them all her number to call if there were any issues at all during the construction phase. Most contractors try to hide from your neighbors so that you can field the complaints instead of them. The construction phase went by as scheduled, with a lot of great communication and photos being sent to us. More importantly, JS Design Build made the process fun and enjoyable. Aside from her great eye for design, Judy has a charisma about her that puts you at ease and you just know that you are in great hands. Her company and all their employees are very professional and talented. The experience was first class. I hope I can buy another home one day just so I can have Judy re-design it.“

“Zoran and Vesna are the best. My husband and I are staying in Napa doing a remodel which is over an hour away. We found their store initially to ask some questions since they were close to where we are temporarily living. Well after a couple of visits, we were so pleased with the service they gave, we decided to give them the business to do our kitchen quartz countertop, bathroom shower tiling, and heat warming tile floors. We had so many questions, and they spent many hours with us working out everything before we began the projects. Now that the projects are done, everything looks top notch. And you really know how great a business is by the way they handle any potential problems. I'm extremely picky (who isn't with a remodel), and I wanted a couple areas of the caulking fixed on our quartz countertop. They sent their guy over right away, and he redid all the caulking with a closer color match. They really went above and beyond because I didn't expect them to redo all the caulking, so I REALY appreciated it. Thank you, Vesna and Zoran! We can't wait to move into our newly remodeled home.“
