“Ryan has done a lot of work for me in the last couple of years. We have been very pleased with his work. A few highlights...

1. A+ opinions. He would actively push back when he thought one of my ideas was bad. Sometimes that meant more work for him, sometimes that meant less. But he would only push back when it was truly not a good idea, structurally or procedurally.

2. A+ attention to detail - he and his team have excellent attention to detail. In the past, in any major work I've had done, I had to do most of the hard thinking. But with Ryan, he came up with many of the good creative solutions to technical problems that inevitably arise. This reduced a lot of mental load I would have had to bear in prior jobs.

3. A+ involvement. He is not a hands off general contractor. Many pieces of the work that his team did, he was working right along with them.

4. A+ Honesty - he is not the least expensive option, but also not the most expensive. But most importantly, he is absolutely transparent. He stays very close to his original bid. Most of the changes in my bid was because if changes I requested.

5. B+ vendor quality. The only feedback I would give him is - if he has any control on the matter, to get better vendors. Ditch the appliance guy in Millbrae and the original flooring company. On the other had, we had great experiences with the countertop company, the fixtures company, and his subcontractors were all excellent - plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc.

I would hire him again for projects. Now that all the work is done, I kinda miss my banter with him.“

He knew all of the requirements and caught some issues in our application to ensure that everything went through the process without issues. “We hired K&B Remodeling & Sons to install two replacement French doors at our house. A contractor friend met them when they were engaged on another job down the street, both the contractor and our neighbor were pleased with the job they did. It is a complex job involving a variety of skills--carpentry, finish carpentry and stucco. Yonis and his team at K&B did a great job. We would definitely hire them again.
A couple of high points: they did the job promptly. Unlike some of the other projects around the neighborhood, they didn't start with a bang and then limp across the finish line weeks later. They worked every day from start to finish, arrived on time and all of the workers were always courteous. They worked cleanly--each day and each tradesman cleaned up when their work was finished. There were no piles of trash around the yard! They showed great respect for our home, yard and all of the materials (those doors weren't cheap!). Yonis is a good communicator who keep us appraised of who was coming and when, and if something changed, he let us know.
The job was done on time, on budget and Yonis and I could shake hands at the end and be friends--the sure sign of a good experience. Highly recommended.“
