“I am very happy with my new kitchen, and I have Alex and his team at Kitchen By Design to thank for it. It was by chance I happened upon their store while visiting Sherman Williams next door for exterior paint. I stopped by unannounced and was warmly welcomed. Alex said he would come to my home the following day to take measurements. True to his word, he showed up on time, and within a day or two showed me a layout with a cost estimate that was within my budget, along with outlining the scope of work and writing up a contract. The estimated project time was three and a half weeks. I signed on the bottom line and the work began the following week. Alex was great to work with and was professional, and responsive to any of my questions or concerns. By having a storefront with an assortment of good quality, cabinets, tile, fixtures and fittings to choose from, I felt more comfortable working with Kitchen By Design vs other contractors that showed up at my home in a truck with a tape measure, notepad and a pencil behind one ear. Given I was not able to be on-site the entire time, technology played a huge part in keeping the project on track. Alex kept me up to date with progress. He got input from me when necessary, and the project completed on time. When I walk into my new kitchen, I still can't believe it's finished. “We were referred to this company by our architect and selected them to build our ADU based on their experience, openness to our ideas, and referrals from prior clients. We were extremely pleased with the final result which came in under budget (and less than half the bid of a "prestigious" design/build firm we also spoke to). Foothill has excellent relationship with subcontractors and remained on top of the process at every turn. They worked hard to control costs and kept us informed on that front as well. We were initially reluctant to accept a cost-plus bid, but we're glad we did. It provided greater control and transparency and avoided the need for cumbersome change orders. Covid hit just as we were getting underway, and while the timeline got pushed back a little bit due to supply chain issues, it could have been a lot worse.“

(I didn't trust a handyman to do 240V high amp work tho). Everything was finished in a couple of hours.I also had an interest in the how and whyand so he even took his time to show me ampacity tables, conduit fill charts, and had no problem with me observing him and lending a hand.“

“It's difficult to find great repair people who know what they are doing and provide excellent value. I was a little hesitant to hire "Harry the Handyman" just because of the name. But I guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I had a wall heater that had been not working properly for many years. Gas company even came to check out and thought it must have had the problem when it was installed eons ago. I gave Harry a call on a Friday and we scheduled an appointment for Monday. To be honest it didn't start off great because the time kept getting pushed back but it had started raining and he was on the other side of town- these things happen. So it's understandable that there might be delays. When Harry showed up he got right to the job- he knew what he was looking for and fixed the problem that had been plaguing this wall heater for years. It took less than 15 minutes. Others were quoting a price of $2000 to install a new one. This wall heater is in a rental apt. When the long time tenant, who had stopped using the wall heater because of the problem, heard the wall heater startup without sounding like it was going to blow out the windows, he said, 'I've never heard that before.' It was a soft sounding ignite. Harry had fixed the problem, making the tenant and owner happy at a very good price. This is one of those business cards you keep!“

“My family and I just moved in a to a new Lennar construction home and needed help getting things set up and getting updates done to the home that we opted out of doing thru Lennar. We have used AL Construction in the past and asked him if he could come install wood flooring, help hang lighting fixtures, take care of painting, and asked him to help us with an overall inspection of the home. We aren't construction savvy so we don't really know what is good or bad, and Lennar gave us a 1 year warranty on the home. He helped us identify a few issues that we brought up to Lennar to fix (NO COST TO US!!!) and helped us make some of the changes we wanted that were wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less expensive vs. going thru the home builder. Like I mentioned before, we have used his services before. - he has a license - he is smart - priced well - uses permits/plans/contracts for everything (which made us feel safe.) We have a baby and were concerned about dust, but he came in to our home with a mask and booties and was respectful of COVID-19 social distancing, which we truly appreciated. He taped off the area that he worked on and did things in our schedule so that we were not home while they were working. When he was done, he cleaned up and we could not be happier with our new home! “Don't look any longer for an excellent electrician. This is as far as you need to go. Joel is absolutely AWSOME! I needed a large ceiling fan installed. Called every electrician in Pasadena, I think. They either couldn't do the job for a month or two, or were so over the top on price, I had to laugh at some of them ( in a nice way). Well, I was lucky. Joel answered my call for help and came out to me the next day ! He was on time, very nice person, very knowledgeable electrician. He knew his stuff, and he completed my job in an hour, and he charged me a VERY reasonable price for everything he did! Oh, and he gave me a wonderful idea for another project I am looking at.
