Our stay at the Nicholson House was memorable and superlative. The room was curated to the hilt... Furniture, lighting, bathroom, linens, record player, and little touches like a sip of whiskey in a vintage decanter with vintage glasses and homemade cookies and coffee ground fresh for us each morning. What nice touches. Another great thing is that everything is right there just steps away... Specifically, morning coffee and fresh baked pastries (on the house) right next door, and the Beaujolais Cafe, also next door and which we so good. (Service and food and atmosphere.) My wife and I just celebrated her birthday in Mendocino, at Nicholson House. The place is just amazing! The service, fully remote, was better and warmer than most in person services I have received in many places around the world.
The room and bathroom are very spacious, with an incredible attention to detail! I was amazed at how everything was carefully chosen to the character of the room, with high class without trying to be pretentious. The finishes were impeccable and the ammenities top notch. I have a hard time fully describing how impressed we were!

We stayed three nights at the Nicholson House and had a great time!!
The hotel is small and cute. The room was very clean, with fresh air. The bed was comfortable and the sheets felt clean and airy. I had fun sleeping in them (they didn't feel old or smelly at all like many other hotels). The nightstand is convenient to use, with everything you need right next to you.
There is a coffee and tea shelf and a refrigerator with a small freezer. We tried the chocolate pralines that were in the fridge (for a fee), they were delicious although a little too sweet for me.
