NO ONE wants to get corrective surgery for reconstruction surgery following a mastectomy. The additional risks & ordeal of an extra procedure makes it really important to get everything thing right the FIRST TIME.
My first reconstruction was done by a surgeon who was competent, but ignored my requests for compact implants, giving me ones that were too large and heavy for my body frame. If I could do it over again, I would fight harder to obliterate all the obstacles that prevented me from having Dr. Li work on my initial reconstruction.

After my consultation with Dr. Li I told my husband I wish I would have gone to him years ago. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough, taking time to explain the procedures in a way other doctors had not. The staff were gracious, kind and helpful.
