About LA Fitness
LA Fitness is a gym that provides an impressive range of amenities at a great value. Members can enjoy state-of-the-art equipment, basketball courts, group fitness classes, a pool, saunas, and personal training, along with a Kids Klub for young ones. Many reviews highlight the cleanliness of the gym, with floors, machines, locker rooms, and bathrooms noted as being very clean. The air conditioning is also appreciated. The staff is known for being helpful and friendly, making the experience pleasant for many gym-goers. However, some members have expressed concerns about the gym's opening time at 8 AM, suggesting that more determined individuals might prefer earlier hours. While parking is easy to find, it still requires payment, and there are mentions of occasional crowding during peak times. Some equipment issues have been reported, with broken machines and uncomfortable pads affecting the experience. Despite these concerns, the well-maintained facilities and supportive atmosphere contribute to a positive experience for many, making it worth the membership, especially for those visiting from out of town.
Clean gym and looks nice but management needs to validate more than 90 minutes for parking when parking in the parking structure. The parking structure fee is $3.50 every 15 minutes! No thank you! I will stick to the other LA Fitness locations with free parking or validated parking for up to 2-4 hours like the West LA location.
Standard gym, but much cleaner than most LA Fitness locations I’ve been to—employees do a really solid job keeping things in order. There’s a good variety of equipment, though I’d love to see them add another reverse fly machine. Free weights are sometimes out of place and can be hard to find, but I’ve definitely seen worse. The squat racks and training area feel fairly new.
The sauna is really clean, but it would be even better if they had separate saunas in each locker room. The spa is out in the open, so it doesn’t feel very private (people in the free weight area can basically look right at you), so I haven’t used it. Showers are fine, though...read full review
So many issues with this place that comes down to either negligence or penny pinching.
1. No paper towels in bathroom
2. Scale in men’s bathroom isn’t calibrated despite me bringing it up already
3. Downstairs water dispenser’s bottle spout doesn’t work properly
4. Always a lack of sanitary towels for equipment at certain places.
5. No resistance bands available to borrow
6. Lack of weights, poor quality, mismatched sets. Some dumbbells of the same weight are different shapes and some are missing their number badges entirely. It just feels extremely sloppy and often hard to find 2 dumbbells with the same weight.
I’ve been to a lot...read full review
