I’m approaching 70 years of extensive athletics. I have had multiple spinal surgeries and broken many bones. I like to push as much athletic activity as I can to stay in shape. Dr. Lee recognized this and worked with me to do hyaluronic acid injections for years until I was ready for surgery. I appreciated his patience, but most of all, his performance. I could not believe that within 3 months of a total shoulder replacement that I would have more control over my movements and strength then I have had in the 10 years prior to the operation. It seems rare to me to find a doctor who truly puts the needs/concerns of the patient over their own. In this case, I had met with 2 other orthopedic surgeons, both of whom anxious to perform surgery to address my issue. Dr Lee, however, advised that I slow the process down and engage in 2 months of physical therapy before determining to need for surgery as PT may satisfactorily build strength and maintain range of motion allowing to defer surgery or possibly eliminate the need entirely. Dr. Lee did an incredible job on my right shoulder. In March 2025 he performed a complete right shoulder replacement on me. Prior to the surgery my right arm and shoulder were utterly useless. I was told in 2019 that I needed a shoulder replacement but I wanted to wait until I couldn’t stand the pain any longer. The shoulder procedure from Dr. Lee completely changed my quality of life. I know several people who have had this same procedure with other doctors but unfortunately they didn’t have the same experience or results. Unfortunately I need a shoulder replacement on my left shoulder. I look forward to having the same experience and results with Dr. Lee.
