He went above and beyond to care for my dad, anticipate needs, and help us through this process.When my dad came home from the hospital, we recognized that we would need around the clock help. Caregivers came and went, many were unreliable, didn't seem to know how to clean or change a bedbound person, or just didn't care very much. When Roman came to care for my dad, it was the first time I could relax in months.One of the problems my dad has was new paralysis to his lower legs. My dad felt trapped in his body and would frequently ask for his legs to be moved. It was so tiring, but Roman would move his legs, reposition him, and never seemed to get tired of trying to make my dad comfortable. He talked to my dad with gentleness and respect, and was on time every day. We could count on him, and in this insanely difficult situation, that's what a family needs.We will miss Roman! “Candan is the best nurse we have ever had. She is so knowledgeable about my husband’s medical needs and has a way of explaining to him what is happening that is easy to understand. Canan is also exceptionally caring and conscientious. Whenever I get anxious or have a question about my husband, I can call her cell phone and she will take the time to answer any worries I may have. And finally we appreciate her so much because she saved my husband’s life. She came for her regular visit and noticed some concerning issues in my husband’s speech. She evaluated him and called 911 because she knew he was having a heart attack. He was rushed the hospital and to surgery and spent 2 days in ICU. He is now home and back to his usual self. We feel very Blessed to have Candan as our Home Health Nurse!“
