“I’ve put aside the 6 hours with an instructor because of school and during the pandemic I’ve figured that I should get it done. (& my permit is expiring in a couple of months) I called numerous driving instructors in hopes of completing the 6 hours and Trans Oceans Driving School is the place where I felt most comfortable in doing so. My instructor, Sarah, was kind, patient, and understanding. And although there was somewhat of a language barrier because she only spoke Mandarin, she still tried striking up conversations and ultimately was in it to help her students succeed. There were many times where she asked if I needed a water break or anything really. After having multiple negative encounters with past instructors (rudeness, don’t text back, very high pricing, forgot to pick me up...) and finally contacting Sarah from Trans Ocean is surreal. In addition to all the positives, pricing is the lowest out of all the other instructors that I have worked with which is a huge +. Props to Sarah, definitely recommend if you want to learn how to drive & get those hours completed!“

My instructor was a former California DOT officer with extensive experience training not only aspiring commercial drivers but also Sheriff’s Department personnel and county workers, which speaks volumes about his expertise and professionalism.

The 320-hour program is comprehensive and hands-on, covering manual transmission tractor-trailers, Air Brakes → General Knowledge → Combination Vehicle → DMV Permit, in-cab inspections, pre-trip inspections, defensive driving, and all essential backing maneuvers. Training for endorsements such as Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples, and Passenger was thorough and practical, giving me a significant advantage in the industry.
