“I had no prior driving experience going into the lessons and was unable to practice at home, but after a few sessions, I was able to pass the driving test first try. Instructor Derek is a great option for people near Alhambra.“

“Prior to taking lessons at this driving school, I took about six lessons with another instructor closer to where I live (Lincoln Heights) and it was a terrible experience. The instructor didn't give me enough info when it came to certain situations and he always kept telling me to just do as I was told. In addition, I failed my behind the wheel test twice at the Lincoln Park DMV (they have a reputation of failing a lot of applicants) because I'm a very anxious driver and my instructor didn't help with the constant screaming and the constant "Why are you so nervous? This is easy!!" taunting. The whole experience turned me off from driving for well over a year. I had retaken the written test and got my permit four months after but left it there to collect dust because I just DREADED driving. It wasn't until two months before the expiration of my permit that I decided to schedule three lessons with this driving school. The rates were twenty dollars cheaper per lesson comparing to the last school so I thought "Why not?" I had Vincent as an instructor and he was almost a breath of fresh air. He was patient, helped me quickly rebuild my driving confidence and gave me a ton of helpful info that'll stick with me for a lifetime. His accent is a little more on the thicker side so be mindful of the fact that you do have to listen carefully. My behind the wheel test was at the El Monte DMV on the exact same day my permit was supposed to expire and I successfully passed it! The minus one star is for the car as it's a little smelly. Also, scheduling lesson times can be a tad troublesome as they may not have a set time for you right away. Vincent also sometimes runs about half an hour late. There was an instance where he even ran nearly an hour late so it's quite inconvenient because you're forced to plan around his schedule. Not really cool. However, despite all of that, I'm glad I'm finally licensed and I wanna give credit to this school for making that happen.“
