My instructor was a former California DOT officer with extensive experience training not only aspiring commercial drivers but also Sheriff’s Department personnel and county workers, which speaks volumes about his expertise and professionalism.

The 320-hour program is comprehensive and hands-on, covering manual transmission tractor-trailers, Air Brakes → General Knowledge → Combination Vehicle → DMV Permit, in-cab inspections, pre-trip inspections, defensive driving, and all essential backing maneuvers. Training for endorsements such as Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples, and Passenger was thorough and practical, giving me a significant advantage in the industry. I also successfully completed the Class A manual/tractor-trailer test and Class B bus test at the DMV.

“My range instructors were Russ, Richard, and Chris. They were all nice, patient, and informative with the drills and instructions. I'm certain that everyone, the students and instructors, wanted to have fun learning. But, at the end of the day this course is to teach us how to be safe and not slide off a motorcycle like a banana peel when it comes to corners and other cars out in the streets.
