I looked at pro-actively re-piping our house three years ago and got quotes from three companies. At the time I just wanted to get a feel for what the cost would be and ultimately decided not to do it. Kids are gone, only the two of us and whenever we were out of town, we would shut the main water off to avoid any potential issues. And of course, three years go by until we got the pinhole leak in our kitchen.Time to re-pipe and pull out the old quotes and review web sites for re-pipe companies and comments from customers.
