We were quoted a flat fee for the preventive maintenance, and it was reassuring to watch the technician clean and inspect each component, explaining that the slight vibration I noticed last season was due to a loose fan belt which he tightened. The entire process wrapped up in about an hour, which felt efficient yet thorough.
After a previous frustrating experience with another contractor, I appreciated that this technician quickly identified the issue as a capacitor fault and had it swapped out within an hour. While the price was slightly higher than another quote I received, the swift resolution and his thorough explanation of the problem were worth it.
I was quoted a fair price for the preventive maintenance service, which took about 90 minutes as the technician cleaned the filters and checked the refrigerant levels. Compared to last year's visit, this time they also made a note of some minor wear on a fan belt that we’ll need to address next season.
