I'm a commercial real estate broker and called Central Roofing to inspect the roof on 2 commercial properties we own, and they provided quotes for both buildings very quickly. They were very honest in that they told us the roof on 1 of the buildings was in very good shape and did not need any repairs/maintenance. I first contacted A-1 in May, after using them back in the early 1990s for our first roof replacement, to schedule an inspection and get an estimate. From the start, I was impressed with Darci, who was so friendly and personable on the phone. Soon after, Soroush arrived right on time, did a full roof inspection, presented pictures of what he found, and, as we suspected, confirmed it was time for a new roof. We were fortunate that the roof A-1 installed over 30 years ago lasted this long, but after experiencing leaks during heavy rains these past few years, we could not prolong it any further.

Soroush provided us with an A-1 Roofing packet, brochures of different products, sample boards, and emailed estimates for each roofing type. He even offered to order more samples if we needed. As we prepared to have our house fumigated first, it gave Darci and Soroush time to order additional samples. I was delighted when Soroush brought Darci along to deliver them. They both gave thoughtful input on which colors might complement our driveway pavers, with Soroush recommending the CertainTeed Presidential TL in Solaris Autumn Blend. Still, I wasn’t sure, and I had to see it on an actual roof before deciding on such a big investment. What I loved about both Darci and Soroush was their patience, sincerity, and understanding.

At first, my husband and I planned to call other roofing companies to compare prices. But after just a couple of weeks working with them, we felt we were already in the best hands. Then, by pure chance, I happened to see a roof I fell in love with next to a friend’s house. When I asked what it was, I found out it was the same roof Soroush had recommended from the start—the CertainTeed Presidential TL in Solaris Autumn Blend. That sealed it for us!

Once installation week arrived, the crew showed up exactly at 8:00 a.m. Monday and even earlier on hot days. Every morning they greeted us with a smile and a cheerful “Good morning!” Their dedication showed. They were organized, protected our driveway, worked diligently, and cleaned up every day. Despite the extreme heat, they never complained and kept going strong. By midweek, additional crew members joined to ensure completion by Friday. I was so impressed by how seamlessly everyone worked together, each knowing exactly what to do.

A very special shout-out to the crew: Adelso (lead), Matteo (my translator), Juan (Tio), Gilberto (Niño), Eric, Leo, Ariel, Efren (Seven), Ose, and Martin—directed by their superintendent, Sigi. What an AWESOME team: skilled, meticulous, and professional!

We also had the privilege of meeting Ben Holm (Owner), George (Head of Operations), and Taylor (Darci’s “partner in crime”), who all stopped by during the project to check on the crew’s safety and even provided them with an appreciation lunch. It was wonderful to see how well A-1 takes care of their people.

“Stop looking and go with Angel and his team. I don’t say that lightly — I got multiple estimates, and they were the best by far in terms of both price and attention to detail. I won’t drop names, but a popular five-star competitor quoted me almost double.

I live in San Diego, and Angel took the time to explain everything to me over FaceTime and even checked on an issue with water collecting inside the garage (which is why I needed gutters in the first place). I’ll admit I wasn’t the easiest customer to work with, and Angel and his team were patient, reasonable, and incredibly helpful throughout.
