“True Life Savers! I honestly don’t know what we would have done without Fitzhauer Construction today.

We discovered an active roof leak in multiple rooms right in the middle of this massive Christmas storm, which the news has described as one of the most intense Southern California has experienced in many years.

I found Fitzhauer on Yelp and called them in a panic. Even though they were clearly at capacity due to the extreme weather, they were incredibly compassionate and managed to squeeze us in for emergency tarping to help mitigate the damage.

Ryan and Brian were absolute professionals. Despite the pouring rain, they went up on the roof and handled the emergency mitigation immediately.

What truly stood out was how patient, honest, and down-to-earth they were. Ryan took the time to walk me through their findings, showing photos of the areas of concern they identified, so I could clearly understand what was happening and why immediate action was needed.

“I contracted with Horizon Construction & Remodeling to remodel my kitchen, which included all new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, appliance installation, and lighting, plumbing, and electrical upgrades. Horizon also replaced cabinets in the dining room, removed blinds, and patched and painted several rooms. David was our project manager.

I highly recommend working with both Horizon and David. He provided an accurate estimate for the work, started and completed the work on time, and was always pleasant and responsive when I had questions. It was my first experience with a kitchen remodel and David proved to be patient and kind, never making me feel like my questions were silly or naive. He responded to all of my texts promptly and delivered on every one of my requests.

The craftsmen employed by Horizon were professional and skilled. They did a fantastic job, and cleaned up as they went along. Horizon also operates a showroom in Fullerton, so I was able to see options in situ, not just small samples. David and everyone I met in the showroom were knowledgeable and friendly. They listened to me, made a real effort to understand my aesthetic, and then made great suggestions.

The entire process from beginning to end (3 months to the day) went just about as smooth as one could hope for such a large project. When it comes time to remodel our bathrooms, I will be calling Horizon again!“

“This contractor is not qualified to install concrete. I hired them to pour and finish a small concrete slab around my pool. The first time they set the concrete, it cracked in 7 places within the first hour. They had to jack hammer everything out. During this process they damaged the pool coping, and did not reduce the price to cover the damage. The second time they set and finished the slab, the finish was different shades of gray. The job will have to be performed again by someone else.“
