“Victoria is a sweet and challenging instructor. Went to opening day without knowing anyone minus those I came with. Met so many wonderful people and we packed the place full. Could not recommend this space/teacher more. Thank you Victoria!!“

“I love GOAT Santa Cruz. A huge variation of workouts, from truly challenging stuff, all the way to silver sneakers classes. I take the silver sneakers cuz I have a back injury. Someday I hope to add a few more classes. Excellent staff, friendly and really knowledgeable.“

“Loving loving this Jazzercise class, and all the instructors!! I had been wanting to try Jazzercise for years and never went for it. I wish had joined sooner. The workouts are fun, and really get my heart rate going and muscles working. The workouts can be modified to fit your level of fitness and you can easily build up your stamina and strength. You definitely feel like you’ve had a great workout at then end of each class. The instructor never make you feel bad if you can’t keep up, but encourage you to try your best, while helping you improve form and function. I had gone to a few in person classes and everyone there is warm and welcoming. However, I have found the live streaming of classes to work better for me. It is a good option if you don’t have the time to drive to class, or just want the privacy of your own space. The different instructors are wonderful and I love how they keep you laughing and engaged with their commentary, singing and encouragement! If you are on the fence, definitely just go for it! You won’t regret it and will be healthier and stronger for it!“

“What a local gem. So happy I found this place. Each time I have gone for a massage it has been such a relaxing experience, I even fell asleep during it. The environment is very chill, and the essential oils that are used really put you into a peaceful state. Self care is so important and it's worth treating yourself for a massage this wonderful! I will definitely be coming back again!“

“We were staying near Ann's studio in Santa Cruz and made a last minute reservation for a private session. She was so great with my 8 year old daughter explaining things and correcting positions as we went along. I really liked her balance of the physical and spiritual side of yoga. Having spent a honeymoon in Bali the ambiance of the property was a real treat. We look forward to revisiting her when in the area.“

“I highly recommend the Somatic Bodywork of Crystal and her healing hands and focused attention.. She has studied so many modalities through the years and brings them all together to rejuvenate and renew the body's own intelligence allowing it to release places where past memories are creating blockages. I emerge from a session feeling lighter, more grounded and energized. If you are 'stuck' holding on to past traumas, I suggest you call the Santa Cruz Somatic Bodywork and Yoga Center and have Crystal activate your whole self and move into a full experience of living.“

“Just had this place set up as an emergency shelter to help people stay out of the freezing nights. Besides a couple of kooks that tried there best to ruin everyone's night with their air of entitlement and inflated self opinion.“

“I love Tara and the Estrella Collective! I feel so blessed to have found the magic she creates and offers here. Since first finding this place a couple years ago, I have gotten different tooth gems done by Tara. She always knows how to make my smile bling ✨?✨ and heart sing!Tara offers her creative touch, if in question of what style to get done. Her artistic vision and soul are ones to trust! She always hold a compassionate ear and is wise in her empathetic knowing. My tooth gem sessions have turned out to be therapeutic too! So grateful for this goddess and this community collective in the heart of Santa Cruz. “

“Nicole's massage technique is intuitive, relaxing and healing all at once. She simply knows what your body and mind need in that moment and she holds space for you. I'm left relaxed and revitalized after a session with her and simply feel grounded and refocused afterwards. Can't wait for my next one!“

“We stayed there a few years ago and I cannot believe I did not write a review. This place is beautifully located with an ocean view. They are pet friendly with a fee for your pet's stay like most places nowadays. We stayed in the Rose Garden Suite and it was lovely. Our breakfast was delicious and though we chose to dine out, there is a kitchen if you choose to buy food and dine in. The grounds are a nice area to take in the views. We came when the flowers were in bloom but not quite when the butterflies were around. The reason for the 4 stars is though the place is Victorian, some of the furnishings were just a tad dated. I realize this is a subjective comment.“

“Kofi is by far the best yoga teacher I’ve ever experienced. Not simply because he traveled to India 9 times to learn directly from B.K.S. Iyengar himself, but because of his teaching method. Most “teachers” just assign the asanas and leave you in the challenging position. What Kofi does while he’s assigning them in ritual order is introduce a theme he’s teaching that day about how the body works and why you’re doing the yoga. Then when you’re in position, he tells stories of all kinds from his own personal history in Ghana, then England then the US, which stories illustrate via metaphor the lessons he’s helping you learn about how to train your body, and specifically to build truly active mindfulness into your routine and even your whole life. He also does a good job of leveling the playing field, kidding us all so we all know he knows we’re over-comparing ourselves to more limber fellow-students, which makes it a lot easier for an older fogie like me to handle seeing what 25-yr-old women around me can do! So the end result is no matter how tough are the body-challenges you face in the class, your joy is much higher and you take in much more about living in your body in a much more mindful way, which in my case, among other things, includes the long-ignored idea of standing up straight. Have a great time with Kofi!“

“Cute little hot yoga studio, not as hot as I’m used to but teacher Grace was excellent and I got a solid 75 min workout.“

“As a beginning yogi, I started taking weekly yin yoga classes at PPY in April of 2021 because I needed to do *something* for my health. I found the atmosphere here to be extremely welcoming and non-judgmental. My favorite thing is the emphasis on how I am feeling in my own body and/or how capable my own body is, without comparisons to how the other people in the class are doing or even how the instructor is performing the poses. The mood of the classes is very supportive. I have continued to take weekly yin classes with Magnolia and Katie, who are excellent, as well as taking occasional classes with Melissa, Tara and Gwen. The yin yoga (and the restorative or gentle yoga) classes are excellent for beginners and people looking for deep stretching and relaxation. I have noticed a difference since 2021. Highly recommend.“

“I drove down from Oakland for the Candlelit yoga class because I had received a gift certificate. The class was incredible. Shannon’s energy was contagious, but the class still felt super relaxing. This is the first beginner’s yoga class that actually felt like it was for everyone. I highly, highly recommend this class with Shannon.“

“Everyone should try yoga because it’s an ancient type of physical therapy people just need to start very slow and not do inverted or intensive poses until they have practiced because even good teachers can get occupational hazard injuries from too much yoga. Advanced and intermediate are risky but simple yoga is extremely beneficial with meditation. Awarness. Walking standing sitting laying meditation aka Sathipathana.“
