I came to AMFM - A Mission for Michael at one of the lowest points in my life. I was struggling deeply with anxiety, depression, alcohol use, and honestly didn’t want to live anymore. Making the decision to come here was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done—but it turned out to be the best.

I originally came to AMFM for EMDR therapy, & I remember being frustrated that it wasn’t going to happen here due to insurance forcing me to leave by day 30. However, I still was able to do alternative trauma work (IFS, highly recommend if EMDR isn’t available), adjust to life outside of my prior (& unhealthy) environment & truly make some lifelong friends I’ll forever stand by. Not only is the staff (I must shout out Jackie) incredibly supportive, funny & personable; but they & the peers you meet are truly one of a kind. This program has changed my life for the better. I struggled in many areas of my life due to trauma that occurred over the course of my life. I was at a dead end feeling hopeless. Both my therapist Monica and EMDR therapist Julia provided a safe place for me that was without judgment, that was lead with compassion and empathy for what I had been through. Austin, Ashleigh, and Maddy lead processing groups but not just any processing group. Their groups push you to dig deep. To face your trauma with intention.
