“This was the first time we have hired a contractor and it was fantastic. Darrel's estimates for our master bath were spot-on, he was reliable, punctual, polite and neat. Darrel worked with my input on materials and design but added his own ideas and personal touches such a storage nook for all those bathroom supplies (all my friends want one now). When I picked unusually-sized tile that required matching the design around the shower Darrel didn't even groan he just said, "I look forward to the challenge!" I can't wait until our guest bath moves up on the to-do list so I can have Darrel return.“

“The carpet that came with our home 12 years ago was in really bad shape. We needed a substanial amount of carpeting done. Looked at several stores and sites, then decided on Solano Carpet.We worked with Jose to determine issues of durability and design. He was extremely helpful. The process went smoothly and their pricing was good compared to other stores. The install was great- a crew came in and did the entire house in one day. Very professional from start to finish.We are very pleased with the salespeople and installers. It looks great and we feel like the price was worth it.Highly recommend.“

“We did a complete rebuild from the 2017 Atlas Fire. I had no idea how to begin this process. George helped me from start to finish. He was great in guiding me in choosing products, colors and fixtures and everything in between. When everyone else was price gouging, George kept the cost affordable and within budget. I could not have asked for a better company to work with in this stressful time. I still walk in the house and love the end result. “I had Marisco arrange an appointment with me for Thursday at 4pm. He called at 415 to advise he would arrive in 15 minutes. So by 435 he arrived he didn't have samples so we focused on measurements. He took very detailed measurements and advised he would provide a quote for just upstairs and both up and downstairs. He advised he would provide the measurements and quotes a couple of days later. The price was a couple hundred less than the guy I decided to go with. I only went with the other guy because of the delay in receiving the quote. I think they will do a great job if you decide to go with them.“

Lania at Emser tile in Fairfield was absolutely amazing, she was very helpful in the selection process, to securing sample pieces, to placing the order. “People at Gillespie's are friendly and helpful. They are in no way pushy. I took weeks to decide on my carpet and there was no pressure. They ordered larger samples for me to view in my home. When I finally chose a carpet they ordered and installed very soon. They told me their installers are magical and I certainly agree. They very carefully handled my antiques in a manner which made me very comfortable. They allowed me to be nearby while they were installing and were willing to show and explain their procedures.
