“From the moment I met Vlasta, I knew he was the professional to redo my driveway. He's hardworking, fair priced, an excellent businessman, and a super nice person. I spent two years interviewing companies to redo my driveway. Yes, it's excessive, but it also yielded the absolute best craftsman in the Bay Area for the job. I don't give compliments like this easily. In fact, I'm usually disappointed by workmanship because I have unusually high standards, but Vlasta is one of the best masons I've ever seen. My driveway had sunk over the years due to the sand in the soil. A regular car couldn't get into my garage, only a four-wheel drive. So, the old concrete driveway had to go and pavers were put in its place. On top of the driveway, the path going to the front porch was hideous and didn't make it all the way to the steps. My neighbor and I had to use full stones in order to not step into dirt or mud on the way up the stairs. Not anymore!Since the driveway needed a four inch lift to make it level, I thought I'd need a step down to the walkway like my neighbor's step from the driveway to the path. Vlasta worked a miracle and seamlessly blended the driveway into the walkway with only a slight slope that isn't noticeable. He's a genius! Curves and lines were completely unexpected and made the whole walkway a thing of beauty. The driveway has drainage ports so I don't have to worry about rain. The pattern and stones are so lovely to behold that I almost can't drive on it because I'm so distracted by how gorgeous it is. I was so impressed by Vlasta and his crew that I've hired them to redo my front porch in Trex. Wish they worked inside too!!If you want quality workmanship for stones, Trex or landscaping, you will not find better workmanship than Vlasta and Boomerang.“
“Matt was very easy to work with, and made many useful suggestions about our project. It was to remove an old redwood deck that occupied most of our back yard, build some new redwood steps from one of our rear doors, build a balcony for the other door, and do some grading, hardscaping and improve the drainage. There were a few minor issues, but all of them were easy to resolve, and most were mentioned to me by Matt when he saw an unexpected problem. He was not the least expensive contractor we spoke with about this project, but his work was great. My one complaint is that his crew could be more careful with the landscaping they were not working on, but it was more an annoyance than any real damage. From all the contractors we have dealt with this summer, this was indeed a minor problem. I would use him again in the future.“

“I'm not sure if the reviewer before me was referring to the same Hollis Landscaping... my friend recommended John and his team to me and they have been incredible with our yard!! We can't afford too much aside from monthly maintenance and we did a backyard upgrade with lots of new shrubs, new path, and groundcover. I cannot say enough good things about them. John got back to me right away with very reasonable estimates. His workers show up as they are scheduled-- right on time. The prices are very good and we are so happy we hired them to help maintain our yard. They are also very friendly. John is an exceptional landscaper so he had great suggestions within our budget. Highly highly recommend giving him a call or shooting him an email (he emails as well as returns calls). They have made a huge difference in the appearance of our home!“

“I can not say enough good things about Vanessa and her amazing crew. I think there is a perfect backyard for everyone that expresses who you are. When there's two of you (like in a marriage) that can be a little more complicated. Vanessa, with her incredible knowledge of plants, gorgeous aesthetic and amazing intuition, was able to tease out that perfect garden and bring it to life. We are completely over the moon with the results. She has taken what was basically a dog bathroom (with some attempts over the years at landscaping) and turned it into paradise. Seriously. Everyday we can't wait to get out into the garden and just marvel. Even more amazing, the work experience was just great. The whole job took a half week less than originally quoted. The crew was friendly, incredibly hard working and careful, cleaning up at the end of each day. Everything with the budget was right on point . She also designed stonework, and her crew did a magnificent job with a stacked flagstone retaining wall including a short staircase, a patio and a walkway. I could tell that his crew had a lot of experience and really knew what they were doing. You can also tell that the crew and Adrian really care about the work that they do and ensure that it is executed perfectly. “REROUTING OF DOWNSPOUT. In our 60+-year-old house the water no longer flowed from our gutter properly but flooded an area within our carport. We rigged a makeshift way to carry it off, but this meant going out every time it rained, to place a temporary discharge pipe.Miguel Lopez, who is both knowledgeable and friendly, came and quickly changed the direction of the runoff and effectively solved our problem.
