“Dave & Roger and their crew did an amazing job. It's been a little over a year since he and his crew completely transformed our huge corner lot front and side yard of dead turf surrounded by a 30 - 40 year old privet hedge that had been improperly maintained for over a decade. Our yard is now a gorgeous, colorful, thriving, perennial garden oasis of meandering pathways. We did not want to lose the hedge due to the privacy it provides but it was horrendous looking and seemed beyond hope with mostly bare dead branches and being taken over by ivy. Dave's crew cut the entire hedge down to almost nothing leaving a single bare trunk for each tree/ shrub and with a new drip system installed, it has grown back & filled in better than we ever thought possible. It was a major part of the job and they did an amazing job renovating our hedge. Dave is very knowledgable about plants and their growth habits and how they will look once mature and which plants will grow best in any given section of the yard based on sun exposure. After he was done, he walked us through the entire yard and told us the botanical name of each & every plant and described how it would grow and what color flowers it would have. We spend a lot of time in our garden now with our dogs and they love it as much as we do. Dave installed a simple wire fence- 4 ft high that is hidden by the hedge and safely contains the dogs in our yard so they can meander & frolic chasing faeries, butterflies & bees. We had interviewed about 6 other companies and love how the yard turned out. I do need to mention the reason I docked 1 star: we didn't like the attitude and being scolded for doing things in our own garden without asking for Dave's permission. We found ourselves asking, "Should we ask Dave first" or "Do you think Dave will get mad?" LOL! There's far worse things that one could complain about besides having a knowledgable landscaper who puts his whole heart & soul into each job so if we had known that about him before hiring him, we'd definitely choose him for the job.“

“Brian and Noe did a masterful job on both our front and back yards! The end product was more beautiful and more serene than we ever could have imagined. We’ve gone from never using our backyard to using it daily. Our front yard was an eye sore and now it brightens up the entire block - we especially love the gorgeous paver walkway they built which brings us joy each time we use it. Brian’s pricing is slightly higher than others we had contacted but it was well worth it!We had read many reviews about Brian’s “organic” process and though we were a little skeptical, we got the sense that he was very experienced and a true craftsman and decided to go with him, and we're so glad we did. He has a great sense for how to design a space, balancing form and function. His experience also allows him to bring a calm and a confidence in his ideas, which he used to skillfully guide the process. There were a couple times where we had wanted to interject a point of view that would have resulted in a less nice end product, and Brian was great at hearing us out, but also gently guiding us in a better direction.Finally, here are a few of the things we really appreciated:- The ability to weigh in some design choices (e.g. pavers, turf, etc), but those choices being limited so that we were choosing between better and best- The flexibility that the “organic” process allows for (we went back and forth on the backyard water feature and in the end decided to go with it + we added add’l lighting that wasn’t in the original proposal)- The speed with which he and Noe completed the work - the whole thing was done in < 6 weeks- The handover walk through and accompanying plant map and instructions, which gave us some pride of ownership- Brian’s responsiveness to our follow up questions after the job was completed“

“This is the coolest secret hangout in Mill Valley. Such a special place to pop in and chill, or bring a friend and enjoy a cup of tea and a game. Not only are there several really cool chill spaces, there seems to be an endless supply of tea and sometimes cookies that just magically appear. The art installations are top notch. What a unique find and creative idea, we are so lucky to have a place like this. It's kinda hard to explain, so just go check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.“

“Paul is very responsive to the requests and questions. He showed up exactly on time for the appointment. Later I asked some questions with text messages and he replied promptly and patiently. When I almost decided to install real grass at the backyard, he remind me of the trees that would make it difficult to grow and maintain the grass. For some other reasons, we postponed the project to a later date. I will definitely contact him again when we do the project.“

“We needed a new deck so I had three deck companies come and give bids. All had good reviews on Yelp. All three had similar opinions on what would work, what we should avoid, and other considerations when it comes to how much we wanted to spend. In the end, all three bids had similar parameters, but Arrow came with the best price. Also, they could start quickly, within 2 weeks, while the other two wanted two months to start. The job took less than three weeks and it looks great. If I saw something I wanted to change, they did it immediately without any pushback. Within five weeks from the day I met Gary, I had a nice big brand new deck. Gary and I would text or call each other whenever he or I had a question. He was very responsive. Great service. During the final touches I was so impressed I asked Gary to give me a bid for a new set of stairs on the side of the house. I had a price in half a day and the guys stayed on the job for one more week to make it happen. Fast, courteous, and affordable. If you need a deck, stairs, fence, etc, call Arrow.“

“We had a tree in front of our house that needed to be trimmed. The whole process from getting an estimate to doing the job was very smooth. They were good at working around the city issues (busy street, street cleaning, city restrictions etc.) The crew who came to do the trimming was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating.“

“From the moment I met Vlasta, I knew he was the professional to redo my driveway. He's hardworking, fair priced, an excellent businessman, and a super nice person. I spent two years interviewing companies to redo my driveway. Yes, it's excessive, but it also yielded the absolute best craftsman in the Bay Area for the job. I don't give compliments like this easily. In fact, I'm usually disappointed by workmanship because I have unusually high standards, but Vlasta is one of the best masons I've ever seen. My driveway had sunk over the years due to the sand in the soil. A regular car couldn't get into my garage, only a four-wheel drive. So, the old concrete driveway had to go and pavers were put in its place. On top of the driveway, the path going to the front porch was hideous and didn't make it all the way to the steps. My neighbor and I had to use full stones in order to not step into dirt or mud on the way up the stairs. Not anymore!Since the driveway needed a four inch lift to make it level, I thought I'd need a step down to the walkway like my neighbor's step from the driveway to the path. Vlasta worked a miracle and seamlessly blended the driveway into the walkway with only a slight slope that isn't noticeable. He's a genius! Curves and lines were completely unexpected and made the whole walkway a thing of beauty. The driveway has drainage ports so I don't have to worry about rain. The pattern and stones are so lovely to behold that I almost can't drive on it because I'm so distracted by how gorgeous it is. I was so impressed by Vlasta and his crew that I've hired them to redo my front porch in Trex. Wish they worked inside too!!If you want quality workmanship for stones, Trex or landscaping, you will not find better workmanship than Vlasta and Boomerang.“

“We have worked with Zach and the team at G on two hardscape projects over the last five years. In both, we basically had the design vision, and Zach helped us refine it and execute on it. We are very pleased with the result of the projects, both of which have made our home more comfortable and enabled us to realize indoor-outdoor living. The projects included large poured concrete pads for the front walk, laying of prefabricated concrete pavers on the sideyard and back, a pergola and deck, and lighting, drainage, and the main irrigation lines throughout.Zach was very responsive, and his team leads knew their stuff and were very friendly easy to work with. The pavers on the side- and back-yard took longer than Zach had initially planned for, in part because this was a product his team had never worked with. Nonetheless, they stuck with it and did a good job with the grading and fulfilled our rather complicated design vision perfectly. Guests always comment on how nice the pavers look. Zach's team was also kind to all our established plants in the process, which is not always the case in hardscaping efforts. The team coordinated well with other contractors, too, as we had window replacements and fencing occurring at the same time.Both projects were very reasonable in their price given the labor involved.We highly recommend working with G on your next landscaping project!(*Note that messy plantings in the photos are fully our responsibility, not that of G).“

“Working with neighbors on a budget and contractor for both a 25ft long retaining wall and a fence can turn your hair gray (if it isn't already). Don't get me wrong, I love my neighbors, but this was a 4 year ordeal. Concrete, wood, concrete, wood. Mike (and others) gave me a bid 4 years ago, but the project got put on hold. I reached out to Mike again and got other bids in 2021. WARNING all the other contractors did NOT have workman's comp and were NOT bonded and insured. And yes, they were less expensive. That said, I'm not gonna have workers transporting huge heavy lumber through my garage and working in my yard without the company carrying workman's comp and being insured. I'm not up for a lawsuit if something bad happened. So....we went with Mike. There were some glitches that took place - a little stressful at times with the neighbors, but Mike's work team were great. When we got a little stuck with a misunderstanding about a portion of the job, Mike made sure to make it all right and made my neighbor happy. Nice guy, great team, go for it!“

“Jose and his crew did a great job in our garden. We had 2 jobs. Pruning trees and bushes at the front and back of our property and installing a french drain around a garage. I found J&R on Yelp and rang them to ask for a quote. To put together the quote (for free), Jose turned up on time (unlike many other companies we had asked) and reviewed the project. Jose provided the quote quickly with adequate detail by text. His price was the most competitive and he was the most efficient in getting us the quote in hand. On the job itself, Jose and his team were respectful, on time, and tidy. They completed the work within 2 days and we're really happy with the quality of the work. I highly recommend them and will you them again.“

“I would give them 10 stars if I could! This company has sent me different people over the last year, and every one is knowledgable and passionate. I have Benjamin and Gustavo now, and they work hard, with a smile, and they carry a vision of what to do next. They always ask if I want them to do something in particular, and if not, they'll carry out the needed work. Gustavo is a master for pruning vines on arbors; he does it so artfully! They prune my collection of maples beautifully, not an easy thing to do! I am very passionate about my garden, but a recent knee surgery and back problems don't allow me to do most of the hard work myself. I worry not, this company is kind for my garden, for Mother Nature, and they are very easy to work with. The bill comes to me paperless, another bonus! I have never been happier with my gardening needs being met meticulously and thoroughly!!“

“My garden was overgrown with weeds and really needed help. I interviewed 4 different landscaping companies and Bill had the best quote for the big job needed. He completely landscaped my garden according to my vision of having a sort of French country garden. He installed a drip irrigation system that continues to save water use several years hence. He also provides monthly upkeep and is always responsive to my phone calls. I don't know what happened with the prior customer review, but I know from my personal experience with Bill that he would give an honest response regarding feasibility of landscaping a garden for a reasonable cost. I wouldn't use anyone else as he has proven himself trustworthy over the three years he has worked on the upkeep of his design. I love driving up to my home and seeing the beautiful, lush garden surrounding it. It makes such a difference!“
