From the moment we arrived, the staff was calm, attentive, and genuinely engaged. They took the time to listen carefully as I explained my dog’s symptoms and concerns, and I never felt rushed or cut off. It was immediately clear that they were focused on understanding what was going on rather than moving us through quickly.

Doctor Ahn was thorough and thoughtful during the exam and explained her observations in a way that was easy to understand. Instead of immediately pushing expensive tests, she walked me through what she were seeing, what the possible causes could be, and what options made sense at this stage. When diagnostics were discussed, the reasoning behind them was clearly explained, which made me feel informed and confident rather than pressured.

What stood out most was the level of communication and care. The doctor discussed supportive steps we could take right away, what signs to monitor at home, and how to prioritize next steps if my dog’s condition changed. I left the appointment feeling reassured, informed, and like my dog had truly been cared for, not just examined.

The entire team treated my dog with patience and kindness, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about his comfort and well-being. After a stressful experience elsewhere, this clinic was a huge contrast in the best way possible.

Vets are expensive as it is, but they don't make you feel like it's about the money before they will even schedule you, as though that's the first concern. I've had that experience at another vet. “We had a great experience with this hospital. Everybody including the staff are very nice, they were all caring and they know what they are doing. The cost is so affordable and they are also giving promos. The vet is genuinely caring for the pets and helping pet owners get an affordable price with great service. The care, kindness and overall service they provide are worth it. We live 30 mins away and we would be willing to travel this far and make them our primary hospital to our 5 pets (2 dogs, 3 cats).

“After getting our first cat together, my boyfriend and I wanted to find a vet we could trust. We have had some negative experiences in the past with our family pets, but we are new to the area and we were excited to get a fresh start with our own new fur baby.
We adopted Cash knowing he had some upper respiratory stuff going on, because his personality was just so unique. Being a bit sick wasnt his fault, and he just matched our personalities very well.
The staff and Dr.Dimitra were very straightforward and honest about possibilities, pricing, and any reasoning behind any tests. He needed many, because he had severe GI issues and was still sneezing and congested. They gave us options and listed out pros and cons of each cleanly. We decided to get all of Cash's tests done so we could find what was going on with him and help him get better as soon as possible. They were able to find he was positive for FCV and multiple parasites, and they helped set us up with his medications to treat his issues. It's also worth noting that they take great care in keeping spaces safe for other pets. Since they believed Cash could be contagious, they kept him seperate from other shared spaces and requested my boyfriend wait outside of the lobby with him while I waited for his prescription.
During the time of treatment, any time I had questions, Dr.Dimitra and the care team at sunnycrest was just a simple email or call away. They consistently respond to my questions within hours and they were very supportive and understanding with me when I had expressed issues administering his medications.
Though it is still very early in Cash's life, we feel quite blessed to have found Sunnycrest for any of his medical needs. I do like them there, and look forward to working with them in the future for his annual check ups.“

“I came here after an absolutely awful experience at Southern California Animal Hospital, and they graciously accepted me and my cat last minute for much needed xrays. I live over an hour away from SCAH and Adam's, and I very much appreciated them seeing me, especially when it was close to their lunchtime and my cat's meds had worn off, so she was SPICY. The front desk, techs, and doctor were all so friendly and helpful, and even apologetic about my experience with the first place. I am so grateful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“Via Verde Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a good friend, and I had to take my dog in today because she had an issue with her eye. Everyone was so nice with my dog and treated her very well.
They gave me their recommendations of what I should do. I think I found my new vet, I was going all the way to Alhambra from West Covina, but I think I'm going to switch over to Via Verde because I have a few cats at home, so lots of animals that need attention from time to time. “This was my 1st time having to take my dog to a Ophthalmologist I was really nervous. She was not doing well, she had bad bacterial infection in both eyes. After the 1st visit with Dr. Richard Pytak there was definite imporovement in my dogs condtion within a week. During this time he did call to check up on how my dog was doing, which showed me he really cared. With a follow up and a another week on the medication just to make sure all the bacteria was gone seems she was all healed and back to her playfull self. Thank you Dr. Pytak your and your staff are the best !!!“

I informed the staff to his condition after they nearly sent us away (to not charge for work they would probably not be able to complete because of his aggression). The staff took some extra time to allow my dog to get familiar with them and they were able to take him back and complete everything I requested. AMAZING STAFF! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“
