Ly is one of the best out there and truly an artist and magician with hair. She was the first person I've ever had color my hair (back in 2016) and I've been going to her since even after moving away from the Bay to OC. Ly will always provide honest recommendations on what I need based on my hair texture and state of previous bleaching. She comes up with thoughtful ways to achieve beautiful results while protecting the health of my hair and scalp. She really understands the science behind hair treatments and is always up to date the latest technology. I always get the best advice on how to maintain health and color longevity after my sessions with her. She is detail oriented and super meticulous. Hair sessions can be long, but I've learned over the years that in order to achieve the best results, it can't be rushed. And while my hair looks amazing right after my sessions with her, the true test of time shows the quality of work she puts in. The color grows out beautifully and I get compliments months to even more than a year between sessions. One of the things I Iove most about Ly the most is just how friendly and warm and genuine she is. I always look forward to catching up with her in the seat. When I first came to Ly, I was dating my now husband and I've gone through all my life events with her. She cut and colored my hair for my engagement session, wedding, babymoon, sister's wedding, during my pregnancy and even my first session after baby was born...and many sessions in between! Ly is wonderful! I've had my hair done here a many times now and each time Ly has been very patient and really listened to what I wanted while providing her expertise. She really cares and explains what she's doing. I've included photos from a few of my visits and Ly did such an amazing job on each! The fade on that coloring made the style last so much longer and her recommendations on how to upkeep the color was tremendously helpful! I would highly recommend Ly; she is my definite go-to stylist in the Bay Area!!

Did not do what I asked for. I wanted an inch off and she took off almost 6 inches of hair. I told her I was trying to grow out my hair but she didn't care and cut so much away. I hate how short my hair is. I hate that she didn't want to listen to me and put her feelings above mine. Why am I paying so much money to have someone ruin all the length I've been growing out in the pandemic?? Super disappointed. I also wanted my super expensive brand new extensions blended but instead she just cut 4 inches off of the extensions. Do not go here if you use extensions and want them blended. She will just take an axe to all your hair.

I was looking for a new hair stylist to cut my hair and found Ly on Yelp. I sent her a text to make an appointment and she got back to me the same day. On the day of my appointment, I told her what I was looking for in a haircut. She gave me her suggestions on what she thought would look best on me. I really appreciated her suggestions since I never know what haircut works for my hair. I have a lot of hair that feels heavy as it grow out and she helped me take the weight off from my hair. She also fixed my terrible self-cut COVID bangs (never cut your own bangs). Thank you for the great haircut, Ly!

I had a haircut that was done in Asia a few years ago that just really did not suit my hair type and it's been a process of growing the layers out. I explained my situation to Ly, and as soon as I sat down in her chair she helped break down my hair type and explain why short layers may not look flattering on me. Throughout this process, she was very attentive and professional. We went through my expectations and she offered a few suggestions based on my hair type and face shape, and worked her magic! This is the first time in a while that I have felt good about my hair. Her knowledge and great attitude are why I will be returning for coloring and more haircuts in the future!
