When you buy a house, a finance company or a bank goes by how old the roof is not any product that you put on It to make it last longer, it doesn't matter if it looks really good. They will not finance the roof if it's over a certain age usually 12 the 15 years.. I know, I deal with it all the time. I'm just throwing it out there for people, so they have all the knowledge about roofs in case someone tells them differently.
I had a representative come and give me a bid and the roof was not curling or degraded but need.. 1600 square foot home they offered a 1 year warranty for $5000 when to buy a New Shingles only cost $3000.
Guess what I did???
i previously stated the roofmax appeared to have made my shingles more limber after a few rains. Idk, never really checked before, seemed improved but here is a six month gutter test. i hosed the gutters down completely 6 months ago, this was a grab sample when cleaning in mid august 2024. All granules so im not sure how much it helps, kinda snake oil-ish. yep i'm back to that
