When 2 of my fur babies came to end of life, everyone was very compassionate. I'm grateful for the excellent veterinary care provided and the kindness in which it is given.“

So I made her comfortable before putting her down. Now I have two new members of the family and they'll be going there as well and I just gave the information to one of my cousins so she could take her cat there as well they are the best in Monterey County personal opinion very professional“

252 Crossroads Blvd, Carmel-By-The-Sea“This is by far the best veterinary hospital. Dr. Cohen, Dr. Sherrill, and the entire staff at Peninsula Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing.
Dr. Cohen is encouraging, thoughtful, funny, and wonderfully witty. He instantly puts both pets and humans at ease. What truly sets him apart is that he always takes the time to fully evaluate the situation and offer thoughtful, alternative solutions rather than rushing into the most aggressive option.
Years ago, my pup had a leg injury and every other veterinary hospital we consulted immediately recommended surgery instead of rehabilitation. Dr. Cohen carefully evaluated her and advised against surgery unless it became absolutely necessary. Thank goodness we trusted his guidance. Today, she is healthy, loves running on the beach, and has no limitations at all.
I am beyond grateful for his expertise, honesty, and care. I highly recommend Peninsula Animal Hospital to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.“

Aguajito has been very helpful with diagnosing him, giving several recommendations, and helping me manage all his check ups. They helped clear up his paw and ear issues and coordinated with his other vet on his chronic rhinitis issues. Overall everyone at Aguajito has been very helpful through the whole, long process! Thank you Dr. Rubin and everyone who has helped my pup on his health journey!“

We were absolutely devastated and heart broken. The team at this clinic was absolutely incredible and kind toward us, walking us through our options and then the process of having to say goodbye unexpectedly. They allowed us some time with him before we had to say goodbye and let us sit with him as long as we needed to grieve his loss. This group of women even went above and beyond and sent a personalized card in the mail sending their condolences ❤️ Our first interaction with Cottage Veterinary Care was unexpected and sad but I cannot thank them enough for the way they treated us and Bear during this difficult time. We will for sure be back with our other dog for his routine care during the rest of our time here in CA. (Photo added of our goodest boy in his last bit of time earth side ❤️)“

2 Harris Ct A1, Monterey“We were referred to Veterinary Eye Clinic when our St. Bernard suddenly developed blindness in one eye. While we unfortunately had to let her go after just a few appointments with the vets, we had a wonderful experience during the time we did work with the team. We were always able to get an appointment asap, the team was so kind, and when our girl passed they sent the sweetest card with condolences. We even got word that a donation was made in our girl’s name to ACVO Vision For Animals Foundation. We couldn’t have asked for a better team during a very tough time.“

459 Canyon Del Rey Blvd, Del Rey Oaks“I brought my cockatiel here the day after Thanksgiving after she suddenly became very sick. I called the Avian and Exotic Clinic hoping for a last minute emergency appointment, and they got us in right away.
The vet quickly diagnosed her with a bacterial infection. She received fluids for dehydration and was kept overnight in an incubator to keep her body temperature stable. When I picked her up the next day, she already looked so much better.
We were sent home with antibiotics, and within a two weeks she was back to her normal, healthy self. I’m incredibly grateful to the entire staff here, and the calls I received checking up on her progress. If it weren’t for them, I truly don’t think I would still have my little bird today. Thank you all so much!
If you are considering taking your bird anywhere I recommend here!“

530 Ramona Ave, Monterey“They saved my dog Mindy's life. That alone is invaluable to my family and I, and we will forever be in their debt, certainly worth more than just a five star review. These are the most intelligent, professional, and empathetic people I have ever met in my life, doing what I feel is one of the most intellectually and emotionally demanding jobs I know of (seeing animals in one of the most dire of situations).
My dog Mindy is a Sharpei mix, around 8 years old, and she was diagnosed with multicentric Lymphoma. For about a month, she grew tumors larger than the size of a tennis ball throughout her body and got to the point where our the vet was surprised that she was not experiencing more complications than she already was. We were recommended to various SAGE hospitals and this clinic by our local vet, this being the last place that was handwritten onto the page. Although smaller than the SAGE hospitals (I assume), they had the earliest availability (they give lymphoma patients priority due to the speed and nature of the illness) and the lowest cost (one of the SAGE hospitals required a deposit before even booking the appointment, this place obviously did not), and probably the best care, and I will be forever grateful that we chose them. After consultation, we opted for a 15 week CHOP (seemingly a medley of chemo chemicals) protocol (another route seemed to be a Tanovea drug 15 week protocol) which required us to drive about 3 hours each way every couple of weeks (there were no other veterinary oncologists for about a 3 hour radius from us in Fresno, CA) for around 9 visits total, averaging around 150 to 355 dollars per visit (somewhere in between $2000 to $2400 in total). Her tumors went away and she went into complete remission before the end of the treatment (though we completed the 15 week protocol and all visits regardless). Animals apparently don't tend to experience as many bad side effects to chemo treatments like humans do and this was our experience with Mindy as well. The average remission length is apparently around 6 months. If it comes back, there are follow up treatment plans available. We don't know how much time this has given to Mindy, but she started acting like her normal self, rather than the lethargic and likely pained version with tumors throughout her body. I don't regret a single thing and I would do it all over again if I had to.
I highly recommend them of course, feel free to ask any specifics of my experience, would be happy to answer.
Edit: She was in remission for roughly 3 months, then treatment again here for roughly 3 months, but sadly was put to sleep yesterday. These people gave me 9 extra months with the love of my life, Mindy and I will always be grateful to them. Please hug and kiss and tell your dog you love them so much right now for me.“

“The staff is AMAZING and the service is EXCELLENT! Taking my fur baby here has changed his life, he is very active again. He is only 7 years old and he was having mobility problems already. Once he started acupuncture his mobility improved drastically, the veterinary doctor is very knowledgeable. I'm so glad I found out about this place and I can not recommend it more to other pet parents. Thank you Natural Veterinary Clinic for helping my fur baby Sky!“
