“Dain and his team are great: very professional, quick turnaround, responsive communication. AWS is one of the very few suppliers of ProVia windows that I found in the Bay Area, and they helped me get exactly what I wanted. I'm generally an informed customer and I appreciate when someone understands my needs and doesn't try to upsell or sway me as many contractors do. Since I had the measurements and specs, the entire order process went over email, as any modern company should do, and we were done before other companies even picked up the phone to call back. They have also been very understanding when my construction project was trailing and they accommodated the delivery and installation to suit my schedule.

I'm already a return customer and I will certainly come back for more. It's great when you find a trustworthy contractor when you embark on any construction project and I know I'm covered on the windows and doors front from now on !“

“Five-Stars all the way around for Sean and his team at California Window & Fireplace for my new Velux skylight systems!

I have been waiting to write this review, so I could give Cal Window some big props on handling two separate disputes with the Velux factory for a new product they introduced this year - custom-size blinds. While Velux is arguably the best skylight manufacturer out there, they also appeared to have some operational issues launching their new custom-blinds product and twice shipped two incorrect orders, first with a skylight, then with blinds.

I do want to applaud Sean for how he handled things in a winsome way. Velux didn’t want to own the first mistake, but Sean was persistent and was able to drive it to resolution…and then same on the second mistake the Velux factory made.

All three skylights are now installed with the correct custom-size automated blinds and they work great…and the skylights are great!

“We interviewed 3 companies and chose Peninsula to replace 4 sets of exterior French doors. Their response, attention, timing and price were factors in making our decision. They made several suggestions that we hadn't considered that were very beneficial. They stayed true to schedule and completed the job in 3 days. The real bonus is that their team is wonderful. Nice, considerate, clean, neat and willing to do extra to please. We enjoyed having them at our house and felt comfortable giving them a key so we could continue with our daily schedule. Two major notes. . we wanted to keep hardware that we had recently purchased and they were fine with that while other companies insist on selling you their hardware; the other factor is they paint the doors both inside and out at the shop! I provided them with our paint colors and they had everything perfect. They brought the paint to do minor touch ups when they completed the job, reinstalled our alarm contacts and assured us if we need anything they would be happy to come back out. We couldn't be happier!!!“
