“I recently went to Salon 1419 for an urgent color correction after a disastrous experience at another salon and I cannot express how grateful I am for Sameh, the owner. He did an amazing job turning a bad situation into hair I could feel confident with.

As background, I've had a balayage done before two years ago at a mid-tier salon in Virginia. Since then, I've had focused babylights done at a more convenient local salon in Virginia, where I've never had any issues with this approach to updating my balayage.

Despite showing a reference photo (attached below), the other salon ended up doing babylights all over my head in a mix of blonde and caramel—far from the subtle, focused babylights and face-framing money pieces I requested. About 30 minutes into the service, I had a feeling that something was off, but I didn't speak up. Unfortunately, the end result was very far from what I had envisioned.

Sameh at Salon 1419 listened carefully, took the time to understand my concerns, and worked his magic. He strategically covered the excessive blonde babylights and blended the colors beautifully, restoring my hair as much as possible in one session.

“I drive an hour to see the lovely Rose, she always works magic on my hair. She’s super friendly, and isn’t afraid to say “we can work to get there, but it’s not an immediate thing” which is nice because we love healthy hair.

The salon is clean and gorgeous, the receptionist was super sweet. Also they have snacks and coffee, and there is a public parking lot right down the road a couple blocks, so easy parking also. Definitely recommend Rose & the salon!“

“I have never been to a SuperCuts or any other haircut place ever since I first went to Primp. Whenever I went to other haircut places, there were lots of issues. The waits were long, the place was loud and uncomfortable, and the stylists were unprofessional. I often left those places with a cut I didn't even like. Primp is the complete opposite of that. There is hardly any waiting (note, you need to schedule an appointment beforehand), the atmosphere is calming and welcoming, and the stylists are amazing at what they do. They clearly have experience and are skilled in treating all kinds of hair types. They'll make sure you leave looking exactly how you want to look, whether you're getting a haircut, a hairdo, makeup, or more.

The location is in a calm spot, its proximity to the train station being the only disturbance. Even then, that just makes this place more accessible by transit. There's usually parking nearby, and the convenience store next door is nice if you want a snack before or after your appointment. Overall, a 5/5 experience every time. Shout-out to Loulou!“

First impression - this could be an adventure.. it's not your usual tricked out brand new salon. This place has been here for a while.
And so has Peter. Best haircut I had in years. He knows what he is doing, attractive to details, precise... I am seriously speechless and very grateful. This was highly professional and you see Peters experience in almost every move.
I fly on from the Midwest for work and took a leap of faith and now I will make sure I time my flights to come back to him.
