Arenas' one of those rare, truly old school barbershops that are the source material for the modern old school (but wholly sanitized) barbershops that serve as a Bat Signal that you've entered the latest hip neighborhood. There's nothing hip about the block where you'll find Arenas', unless of course you recognize the magic in having a bar next door that specializes in board games or you want to have a cheat day with Colonel Sanders at the KFC on the corner. But all of this is OK because Burbank rules without even having to try. Go get a haircut from Kat at Arenas' and on the way home stop at the Train Shack and watch the model trains for a while or work off those buttermilk biscuits by taking some hacks at the Batcade.“
