“Jules is listed in my contacts as "BEST HAIR STYLIST EVER."Let me tell you why.2021 was a BIG year for me. I had a baby, sold my home, and moved to SoCal from the east coast. Needless to say, my self-care took a backseat for many months.By March of 2023, I was ready to take back control of my hair and, honestly, my identity.For context, my vision for years has been copper red with honey highlights and tips. I prefer a more "natural" aesthetic as opposed to vibrant or neon, and I like to focus on framing my face with an angled, feathered cut, leaving my hair long enough to be able to curl it. While the cut has been easy enough to maintain, for one reason or another, it always seemed impossible to achieve the color, no matter who I saw.I found Jules after doing a Google search of stylists local to me and reading reviews. Even then, it was hard to know if she would "get" me - and then, we had our initial phone consult, and I knew right then and there we would vibe.The day of our scheduled appointment, we had a blast! She listened to my vision and actually collaborated with me. I was so impressed by her communication skills. I was even more impressed by her genuine excitement for working on my hair. We went back and forth over every little detail, even my little streak of gray I wanted to preserve - no stone was left unturned. While processing, we spoke about anything and everything. She was so easy to talk to and expressed her personality with such warmth and humor. I felt so at ease and confident in her skills.When all was said and done, and I saw my vision turned into a reality staring back at me in the mirror, I actually cried I was so happy! I used to have hair inspo saved and ready for my appointments with previous stylists, but I just show up for my appointment now and give him the freedom to do what he does best. “I went through 3 different bridal hair trials before I found someone who would work with my curly hair without telling me I had to straighten it the day of my wedding. To this day, I can't imagine anyone else doing my hair on my wedding day. Not only did she painstakingly re-curl each curl on my head (a neat trick to make the curls stand out better in photos), but she created such a lovely and elegant hairstyle that lasted ALL night, was simply gorgeous, and was super comfortable. She also put up with not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR postponed wedding dates due to covid. She was so flexible, which was so helpful because having to reschedule every single vendor 4 times was so chaotic—she even let me keep our original 2020 pricing, and made time to do a few people's hair that we did not plan ahead for the day of the wedding. “This review is way overdue. I hadn't had my hair cut in five years mainly because of my receding hairline and the fear that if I cut my hair it would look even thinner. I decided to get a shag haircut. With some research I decided to book with Justine. She fit me in a week before Christmas. Justine gave me the best haircut I have ever had! My hair looks thicker, hides my hairline and is so easy to style. I have restored confidence and feel like a rock star! Justine was a blast, too, which made the time fly by! Scheduling was quick and easy with the online booking, and she was able to squeeze me in on short notice. I booked a much needed glam-up (hair & makeup) for a wedding I was attending, and from previous experiences I assumed it was going to take a couple of hours but she was fast, funny, and efficient. I LOVED that she suggested various types of makeup looks that were appropriate for the occasion-going for a softer but chic look with it being a daytime wedding. She also made it a point to compliment/match my makeup with my outfit! Not only was she amazing at what she does, but makes you feel relaxed, and at home in her chair by serving any type of drink you want (wine, vodka, etc.). I appreciated that she listened to what hairstyle I wanted, and with a " say no more" vibe... replicated the look I was going for. Her area was clean (brushes also), well-lit, and organized; which is a huge priority for me. That night I received SO many complements at the wedding and from my fiance. I will definitely be going back to Michelle, not only for a glam-up, but for one of her various refreshing facials.“
