His calm, confident approach makes dogs feel secure, and he clearly understands canine behavior at a deep level. I would trust him with any dog for training or boarding.“

395 9th St, San Francisco“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Having Tefani & So take care of my dog has turned out to be the best decision I made when I moved to San Francisco this summer. They are truly an excellent, caring, trustworthy, and thoughtful team, and I cannot sing their praises enough. They have been taking amazing care of my husky-labrador mix, Evie, all summer, and I am so glad that when I'm swamped with work, there is Tefani & So to hop in and care for her.
Thank you to Watson, Ricardo, Stina, Tyler, Daniel, and all of the folks making Tefani such a safe place for dogs. As an anxious pet parent, I am so glad I found such a trustworthy team. The team at Tefani is extremely friendly, communicative, and always happy to help with special dietary or medical needs that Evie might have. They are very knowledgeable, with a low staff-to-dog ratio; I knew Evie would be getting plenty of individualized attention every time she was with them.
The facilities at Tefani are clean and well-maintained, with multiple doors that ensure safety. Scheduling and convenience-wise, the Tefani team has been SO accommodating anytime I was running a few minutes late, and even accepting Evie for boarding when I had a few emergency scheduling conflicts that meant she had to stay late. They are the most understanding partners to work with, and have made my life as a working pet parent so easy.
Every day, Evie gets dropped off at Tefani between the hours of 8-9am, and goes to the dog park with the team for more than an hour. Then, they give her lunch that I provide and take her out for a potty break. I usually add the afternoon drop-off shuttle, and Evie gets dropped back at my apartment every day so I don't have to worry about missing the 5-6pm pick-up window. Shoutout to Tyler, who runs the shuttle!! He is super communicative about when he'll be dropping Evie back off and always provides an ETA and a picture of her safely at home.
Boarding Evie with Tefani has also been a dream. Shoutout to Ricardo for taking the most amazing care of Evie when I have to be out of town! I boarded her for a few weeks during the summer, and I always felt so safe because I knew Ricardo was taking excellent care of her. Once, Evie got an eye infection during boarding while I was traveling abroad, and Ricardo was so considerate and thoughtful. He took her to the vet, FaceTimed me from the clinic, answered all of my questions about her healing, and provided tons of updates that really quelled my anxiety. Otherwise, he always sends adorable daily pictures of their adventures and gives her lots of cuddles when she asks for them. Evie loves Ricardo so much that she now paws at the door whenever she sees him coming to greet her at daycare. She'll jump on him, give him kisses, and make happy cries -- something she only does with the people she loves the most.
I once saw the Tefani team in action when Evie and I were at the park at the same time as them. They truly love the dogs they work with, and know each dog's name by heart. They give each dog nonstop attention and genuinely care about every single one.
Most importantly, the Tefani team has given such care to Evie that she is now a transformed dog in terms of her confidence. As a former stray, Evie was very shy and reserved around groups of other dogs. However, since going to Tefani, she has grown immensely in confidence and socialization skills. She is now unafraid of new dogs at the park and will even initiate play with others. This transformation of my previously shy girl becoming a confident, happier doggo has made working with Tefani more than worth it.
Thank you, Tefani & So, for being the best doggy daycare I could've asked for in SF. Evie loves you all!“

698 Bush St, San Francisco“David has taken care of our two cats for 15 years now and we couldn’t be happier. Not only he takes good care of the kitties and sends us videos of them when we are gone, but he has been know to take care of unexpected problems a few times while we were gone. We recommend him whole heartedly.“

80 Elmira St, San Francisco“When we adopted our Chihuahua mix Mingus he had a real chip on his shoulder and was practically feral adn very aggressive to strangers and all dogs. He couldnt walk properly on the leash, be he was too busy barking and lunging at all dogs, looking for a fight around every corner. Me and my husband could not agree on training tactics and we feared we would never be able to have visitors over again after he bit my mother in law.
After doing Dan's 5 week training program, Mingus is a new dog. He's calmer, and more secure in himself. He can walk on a leash, barks less at other dogs, and actually has boundaries that he can follow. Me and my husband all know the same training commands which helped our arguments about Mingus to subside.
After we had our first child, Dan was kind enough to come to our house for a free at home training session to help strategize on how to get Mingus acclimated as we feared his aggression would flare up again with our new baby. Luckily this has never happened bc Mingus is truly a completely different/better dog bc of Dan's services.“

Laird Ave, Oakland“Very professional with attention to so many details and custom tailored services for every individual pet and pet parents.
My cat is getting old with kidney disease and requires lots of additional attention. Fabiola is so great with him and as I travel for a living and have to be away often, it is so reassuring to know that my fur baby is in good hands.
A very unique app portal to communicate for all the needs from scheduling, payment to updates is convenient and a one stop format. Love all the great pictures sent numerous times a day as updates and makes me feel as if I'm at home with my cat...
Thank you, Fabiola, of Oakland Hills Pet Care!“

538 Natoma St, San Francisco“Kristin is fabulously thoughtful and helpful. Our discussions eventually led to the realization that I actually needed to board my kitty because of the chaotic nature of my apartment building and elderly Stella’s special needs. Even though I wouldn’t be using her service, Kristin went out of her way to put in extra effort and help me find The Right Place for Stella. Hooray! I am deeply grateful for Kristin’s knowledge and diligence.“

Oakland“Scott is a terrific cat sitter. When he first came over, aside from keys and alarm codes, he was completely focused on getting to know the cat. Truly a cat whisperer, the cat and he got onto the same wavelength and just vibed. When we got home the mail and plants were taken care of, and the cat was more lively and happy than ever. It was obvious that he'd had a great time with Scott,“
