So grateful to the team that took care of me. I was lucky to arrive when the waiting room was pretty empty on a Saturday morning. Really attentive care, acted fast once I got into a room.
I went here back in Oct of 2022 with a wasp sting. The male medical receptionist at the lobby, who had a nurse scrub on, had the weirdest attitude and appeared extremely psychotic. He was unsympathetic and told me in front of everyone waiting in the lobby that "stop pretending, you are not hurting" in the COLDEST and CHILLING tone I have ever heard in my life. He reminds me of a serial killer from a movie with that tone, attitude, and expression. It is crazy that this is the only ER in the Berkeley area. If you can avoid this ER, AVOID.
I drove myself to the ER after I sent months in and out of John Muir ER. Coming here was my last hope and highly recommended by a dear friend and my dad. From the moment I arrived, I received top care. The triage nurse Justine embraced me, listened to me, and worked diligently to get me checked in, ordered labs, and put me on the list for a room. Dr. Fields was a Rockstar. She ordered my imaging and was able to diagnose my problem immediately. John Muir and Martinez Regional Medical Center would have just gotten me out of their hair. She offered me pain meds and started m with fluids and other things my body needed. She sent me home with two medications so I could get...read full review
