Didn't get the call, he just went ahead with the rekeying, the cost turned out to be very reasonable so I was okay with it, but if it had been high cost and no prior approval it might have been an issue.
The new keys work smoothly and easily. Sometimes duplicate keys don't work smoothly, they don't want to turn easily or get partially stuck and you need more force to turn them, but no such issue with these, very happy with the quality.“
