“Been going here since 1986. My hair has always looked best when they've been cutting \u0026styling it for me. Very professional. I loved them then and still enjoying them today.“

“I'm local and found this salon tucked away in the strip mall. Needed a hair trim rather than re-style or big cut. I found Dana. So happy about that! She did a very good job mainly with a razor. Was efficient, sweet, interested and interesting. At last, I have found my go-to Altadena hairdresser! It's been some time coming. 100% recommended. A good salon that has been in business for 16 years I think she said. She's worked there for 15. I look forward to returning. NB. Very reasonable pricing too. A generous tip was definitely called for.“

“I was in desperate need for a trim and I was looking everywhere to get it that had an opening. I needed it for THAT DAY, and honestly THAT MINUTE, and this place was on the way to work. I called, and the lady said that there's an opening for me so I took it. Don't let looks deceive you, though. The space is a little run down, and it looked like an entrance to a home. The door is a metal door and you can't see in. I think the hairdresser was surprised that I went to that hair place. This is a salon for african american hair. When she opened the door and saw me she was like, "okayyy" but took me in, and s*** I was GLAD. THIS WAS THE BEST DAMN "trim" I've gotten. I pretty much said that I need a trim, do what you want, which is what I usually tell people. It's a trim, and I don't care about my hair too much anyway. It's just hair, and it's not my identity. Plus, my hair style is just cut straight across. When I go to a salon, my hair cut usually takes 10-15 minutes (no matter if it's a shitty place or a upscale place) because I have pretty thin stick straight hair. BROOOOO SHE TOOK OVER AN HOUR... for a TRIM!!! She didn't over wet my hair, she didn't just do a CHOP across the back. She took her time, she parted my hair, she did the irregular choppy thing, she took her time to make sure that my hair fell the way it's supposed to when it's fairly dry. I mean, come on. AN HOUR FOR A TRIM. It ended up not being a trim but more of an actual haircut and I felt nice and fresh. She actually cut what she said she was going to cut. She offered shampoo and conditioner at the end, not at the beginning which is new to me but it makes sense. With tax and tip the I paid $40 which I think is a fair price to pay for the level of care that I got for a trim. I've spent 60 for a shitty hair cut from an upscale salon that I'll never go again. My hairdresser's name is Charice and she's freaking amazing, and just really nice and fun to talk to as well.“
