“Giovanni and his crew were awesome! I too was referred by Encinal Nursery from a friend that works there. We completely remodeled our front yard for greater space for our kids and pandemic socializing as well as our tropical themed backyard. Everything turned out better than expected. Despite the other reviews of his lack of communication, my experience with Gio and his crew was the opposite. He was super professional, very communicative, honest and very flexible in changing the initial plan design up and the most articulate landscaper I probably know; really knowledgeable of the plant world and knowing what plants to plant, where in terms of light & watering schedule. He has a pretty robust turnkey maintenance, upkeep program afterwards to keep my yard looking brand new. He's super busy for a reason! We've gotten several compliments on our yard and asked who did our remodel. I would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone looking to remodel their yard.“

“It's been well over a year since Mathew and team designed and install my garden, and I couldn't possibly be more happier with that decision.

Mathew was enjoyable to work with. He led the way in designing and recommending plants based on a mix of my vision/wants and his expertise and experience. Mathew found ways to incorporate and blend in pieces and plants I wanted to keep, and found clever ways to reuse some existing features (e.g. large rocks) that elevated the space. The crew that demoed and installed was notably careful, and detail-oriented. David and Troy have been coming by monthly for garden maintenance and doing an exceptionally meticulous job. The entire team's craft is admirable!

Over the last year, the plants in the garden have quadrupled in size, and almost every plant has blossomed a flower at one point in time. It's been a real delight.

“Johnny and his crew installed corten steel edging around our sidewalk garden. It looks really good, was reasonably price, and they were responsive to feedback during the installation. It came out exactly as I envisioned it. I'd definitely recommend for your landscaping needs.“

“What a wonderful experience I had working with The Garden Girls!

I wanted to work with a small, local company who could give me ideas on all new plants for my front and backyard, as well as planting them. After doing some research, I decided to go with The Garden Girls and called Barb. Since she lives nearby, she was able to come out that afternoon, and while talking to Barb, I knew I had made the right choice. She's passionate about her work and is extremely knowledgeable of her plants and what works best in the area.

Barb sent me drawings of the plants she chose and where they would be placed, along with descriptions of each plant. There were a few that I had in the past and didn't really like, and so Barb selected other varieties for these with no problem at all. She also suggested some minor changes be made to the existing rock landscape. These small changes made a huge difference!

Ed and Stacy did the planting and changes to the rocks, and are the most hard-working and dedicated workers I've seen. Their attention to detail is beyond, and they were always ready to answer any questions I had.

While planting, Stacy suggested putting a succulent garden in an existing cracked birdbath I had in the backyard. Ed did the planting for this, and was extremely meticulous when doing so. When finished, it was absolutely beautiful, and so I had him do the same to an old birdbath in the front yard.

My yards are beyond gorgeous and bring me so much happiness now.

Ed and Stacy also removed and replaced mulch in my Mom's front yard, and Ed created yet two more beautiful succulent gardens in her backyard. One being in a three-tiered fountain that had leaked and was no longer being used. Once again, Ed did an amazing job and the succulents have added so much color to the yard.

“We hired Build Group to take our dirt yard and build corten metal pathways and to build a concrete slab. Fidel walked through with me and gave me a bid after crunching the numbers. I got two other bids from existing crews I have used and hired Build the next day. They got to work immediately, and they were the most professional team we have had working here. We were so impressed with their attention to detail and smart solutions and diligent labor every single day they were here. So happy so far with their work. “Matt was very easy to work with, and made many useful suggestions about our project. It was to remove an old redwood deck that occupied most of our back yard, build some new redwood steps from one of our rear doors, build a balcony for the other door, and do some grading, hardscaping and improve the drainage. There were a few minor issues, but all of them were easy to resolve, and most were mentioned to me by Matt when he saw an unexpected problem. He was not the least expensive contractor we spoke with about this project, but his work was great. My one complaint is that his crew could be more careful with the landscaping they were not working on, but it was more an annoyance than any real damage. From all the contractors we have dealt with this summer, this was indeed a minor problem. I would use him again in the future.“

“I'm not sure if the reviewer before me was referring to the same Hollis Landscaping... my friend recommended John and his team to me and they have been incredible with our yard!! We can't afford too much aside from monthly maintenance and we did a backyard upgrade with lots of new shrubs, new path, and groundcover. I cannot say enough good things about them. John got back to me right away with very reasonable estimates. His workers show up as they are scheduled-- right on time. The prices are very good and we are so happy we hired them to help maintain our yard. They are also very friendly. John is an exceptional landscaper so he had great suggestions within our budget. Highly highly recommend giving him a call or shooting him an email (he emails as well as returns calls). They have made a huge difference in the appearance of our home!“

“A man with a vision! Hiring Keith Stover, (Nature's Design), to beautify the front area of my house was an amazing experience. He already works on my mom's garden, which is breathtakingly beautiful, and for my birthday she split the cost with me to have him work his magic at my house. I know very little about such things so I really trusted him and his vision, and I am so grateful. He was very attentive to my tastes and listen to my ideas. He often gave me options to choose which I liked best. Very quickly we were on the same page about all of the little things that would make me happy.
When the first estimate was a little higher than my budget, he pared it down and we focused on the most important areas - and he was still able to make it totally beautiful.
Keith was a pleasure. He has a quiet demeanor. He and his assistant were super respectful and it was clear right away that they really care about doing everything right. He stuck to the schedule, he worked super hard and it was immediately evident that he is someone who is very proud of his work, regardless of the size of the project.
I'm actually saving money so I can hire him again to add some of the things that were outside the scope of last year's project.
They installed an irrigation system and showed me how to program the timer, but honestly I haven't had to touch it. It just works. Everything grew. Everything still looks healthy and gorgeous. It's really the gift that keeps on giving. I'm really proud of my garden, and it really is the result of Keith's vision, Keith's design and Keith's implementation. He's SO GOOD! You should call him and get on his schedule because I imagine he's pretty busy making magic happen :-)“
