“We needed to replace our composite shingle roof and we got Roof Right's name from our neighborhood message group. A lot of people recommended them. Their office happen to be in our town too. Steve came to give us an estimate and he provided a lot of good information about what they do, the GAF products they use and the great GAF warranty. Their price is also reasonable. After the meeting, I contacted him a few times with some questions and he was always available. Two months later, their crew started working on our roof. Everything went smoothly and there was no surprise. They finished the job in less than 5 days and cleaned up everything before they left. “Our 18 year old Monier Lifetile Cedarlite roof had many broken tiles due to its inherent fragility and foot traffic from painters and solar equipment installers. Most roofers that we contacted refused to work on it because of its fragility. We eventually found 3 roofers who made bids (one without even going up on the roof!). We chose California Custom Contractors (CCC) because the owner, Greg Meo did a thorough inspection which he documented with photographs. His proposal, again carefully documented with photographs of the proposed repairs, was not the cheapest of the 3 but its thoroughness and Greg's obvious experience with Cedarlite tile roofs (again, more photos of past jobs) made the choice clear. We learned that CCC does not install new roofs but only does repairs.CCC cleaned moss and other debris from the roof, replaced and painted all pipe flashings, replaced all broken tiles and installed metal flashing to replace the original cracked lead flashing. All of the work done was documented with photographs. Our roof now looks fantastic and we are confident that there will be no leaks. Greg and his team of 3 very experienced workers were a pleasure to work with and get my highest recommendation. If your roof needs careful conscientious repair, call California Custom Contractors; despite their generic name, they only repair roofs.“

“I really enjoyed my experience with Century Roof and Solar. Their team was professional, prompt and knowledgeable. The workmanship was outstanding.

Tony came out to do the initial site visit and go over all the options. He explained things enough for me to make an informed decision. He didn’t hard sell any upgrades that didn’t make sense.

After his visit I received a proposal with all the different options, and costs for each, clearly outlined. This saved some confusion when the office staffed noticed an omission a few days after we agreed on a scope of work and a price. Because their proposal outlined all the options I could clearly see the clerical error that resulted in the mistake. We adjusted the proposal and moved forward. They were clear about their schedule and let me know when they would be available to start.

They were very accommodating when I needed to change the schedule to due to a conflict with another project. When the start date finally arrived the crew showed up ready to work.

They were very considerate of our extensive garden and I’m really glad they had all those young backs to haul all the debris up the three flights of stairs and the new material down those same stairs.

I hopped up on the roof myself once or twice a day. Both to check on workmanship and to discuss issues that Pedro, the foreman, discovered. Dry rot, missing trim, and missing sheathing. All additional work was clearly explained, fairly priced, and nicely executed.

The end result is a roof I feel very confident will last another 30-40 years.

“Sunshine did an amazing job replacing my rain gutters. Since my roof is slate, all the other rain gutter vendors were hesitant to the take the job. However, Sunshine was able to do the job without breaking a single tile. They were also thoughtful about what they replaced, by leaving some fascia boards and downspouts in place, that were still fine. As a consequence, the project cost was lower than other leading companies. Sunshine has LeafBlaster gutter guards that are top of the line too. Now, I no longer have to go on my roof to clean my gutters. Hurrah!!“

“After careful research and after reading through the many Yelp reviews and our Neighborhood Facebook group page my wife and decided to go with Maciel Roofing to replace our shingle roof and aluminum gutters. After some back and forth regarding shingle color with our HOA we were finally ready to move forward. We reached out to the owner Pete he then came out and provided a written estimate. He answered all of our questions via email and phone quickly. After we signed the contract he called us several days later and scheduled our roof and gutter replacement. His crew was prompt and arrived earlier. We were lucky and 2 of his crews came out to work on our house. There were about 8 workers with several company trucks. His son supervised the work and constantly kept us up to date with the progress. The crew did an amazing job. The gutters also came out very nice. Overall I think we have one of the nicest gutters and roof on the block. They also added a few extra downspouts that we did not have. We would highly recommend their service.“
