Early on Thursday January 8th, 2026 the major tenant in our Esquimalt United Church facility, the Rainbow Kitchen, called to tell us the furnace was supposedly on, but it was only 53 F degrees inside rather than the 68 degrees the thermostat was set for. We called Island Energy, and they immediately sent a technician (Parker) to check it out. He arrived mid-day and checked each of the relevant controls in turn. Nothing definite showed up. He then checked the heat exchanger, using a miniature camera on a 4’ cord which plugged into his cell phone, he found the exchanger tubes were faulty and needed immediate replacement—if any could be found – not likely due... read full review

I recently used Island Energy for the first time to service and repair our HRV system. They were able to book us in quickly, and even made sure they had the correct motor in stock in case it needed to be replaced (it did). This saved us from two separate service calls which was much appreciated. Dom was a very knowledgeable technician and was quick, efficient, and communicative about the repair. We will definitely be using them again for future repairs and service, and would highly recommend them to others.
