We’ve been at this vet for a few years. Our dog got spayed here with great recovery and the staff kept us in the loop. When she got cut open we took her to an emergency vet and Granville island vet called to check in on how she was doing even though they didn’t do the procedure. Recently we had two teeth that were fractured so we got a few extractions. The staff are polite, friendly, and fast responding. I’ve always felt comfortable leaving our dog with them and no surprises with extra fees. The estimates or quotes are fairly spot on. We’ve really enjoyed the care we’ve gotten for our dog.

We were visiting Vancouver for two days with our senior dog; we realized that we forgot to pack his heart medication in our haste to get out of the house. We eventually contacted Granville Island Veterinary Hospital seeking an emergency prescription to cover our short vacation stay. We had tried a few veterinary clinics associated with the big chain providers who all required that we pay for an examination before they would assist. The staff at GIVH were amazing and worked with our own veterinarian to obtain the necessary documentation for the prescription. They were excellent to deal with and the cost was nominal.
