267 Esplanade W #307, North Vancouver“Hello, this is a recommendation regarding Mark Penner, Physiotherapist, at Synergy Physio + Pilates, in North Vancouver.
Mark is kind, courteous, and extremely meticulous and knowledgeable. He did an excellent and thorough job of accessing and fixing me.
For a couple of years or more, my knee had gotten progressively worse. There was no injury to it, but I developed a limp when walking. It was painfully difficult to bend down and challenging to walk after sitting for a time. I was also no longer able to ride my bike to work. This was discouraging to say the least.
Stubborn as I am I didn’t seek out help, but my friend insisted that I see Mark. After just two sessions my knee recovered; I am able to bend again, walk without limping, and ride my bike to work.
Don’t be stubborn and wait like I did!“

“I have been training with Amal for about 4 months now and the experience has been nothing but positive. Amal is very passionate about training and teaching his clients how to build healthy habits which will lead to success. In only 4 months I have seen many positive changes in my body. I’ve lost weight, my body feels tighter, I’ve gained muscle and I’ve gained a lot of strength. I’m able to lift large amounts of weight that I never thought I ever could! I think a big part of this is because Amal teaches his clients how to have proper form when lifting. We also work on stretching out any tight areas of the body which helps with being able to lift better and more. Amal is great because he proves you wrong when you think you can’t do something such as lifting heavier weight. He is very good at seeing how much your body can handle based on your current strength.
One of the things Amal taught me food wise is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of delicious foods, you just have to control how much of it you have. I’m still able to enjoy food and see progress in my body. I no longer have to watch other people eat delicious food while I sit there miserable!! I track my calories everyday but I’m still able to eat anything I want, as long as I don’t go over my calories. This keeps me happy and I’m definitely seeing results. I feel way more confident than I did 4 months ago, and the training journey with Amal has been so much fun. Not to mention Amal is very kind and professional and he is always there to help you succeed. I am so glad Amal is my trainer and I highly recommend him if you want to see positive results! Thank you Amal!!“
