Angie is very knowledgeable, kind and an amazing acupuncturist. I’ve been seeing her for a few years now for various ailments & I always see an improvement. My wife and I turned to Rob-Ron Construction after dealing with a competitor that had quoted an astronomical price for the renovation of two bathrooms (total gut and rebuild). Ron and Evan came by and we discussed our requirements. Ron and Evan listened, asked the right questions, and came up with some excellent ideas and cost-saving suggestions that didn't sacrifice quality. Their quote came in substantially lower than their competitor.The renovations took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ron and Evan managed our expectations regarding completion due to worldwide shortages and delivery delays concerning building materials. They got started immediately. They stayed in touch and consulted with us throughout the project. When any of the expected delays did arise, they turned their attention to other parts of the project wherever possible. Rob-Ron has great, long-standing relationships with some excellent trades-people. The plumber, electrician, drywaller, tilers, painter, and other contractors were punctual, courteous and professional.The results of the project were spectacular. Our bathrooms are modern, spa-like sanctuaries!In these times when demand for builders is at an all-time high and their services come at a premium, Rob-Ron Construction was very reasonable, attentive, and professional.My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend Rob-Ron Construction.

Recently Strait Fencing replaced an old fence for us in the most outstanding way, Gary the owner was hands on with the project. His crew was professional and quality oriented throughout. The entire project was done on time and most of all it was the most reasonable cost out of 3 different quotes.
Tina is an absolute gem! I’ve never had hair cutting experiences like this! My wife and I have been coming here for the better part of 15 years! She can chop it up with anyone literally and figuratively. A must visit on your Brentwood Bay trip.

February/2025: I put off doing anything about a recurring engine light for awhile, and sure enough, when I got my KIA to Midas to leave it overnight, the first big snowstorm hit the Island. The next morning with all the traffic snarls happening on the roads, I didn't hold out much hope that they'd be able to get to the 'extras' I'd asked for in addition to the problem with the engine light, but thank you MIDAS, you did it all. First, Garry, the technician figured out the mystery behind light and replaced the camshaft position sensor damaged by an oil leak, then got on with a thorough inspection of tires, and a battery, oil & transmission fluid check (I needed both the oil & transmission fluid changed). It was done about 11am that morning when they phoned to say I could pick it up. Considering how bad the road was, I'm sure Paul, the service agent at the front desk heard the hesitant note in my voice when we were discussing picking up my car so he asked if I'd like them to deliver it to my place. Good Service? I was knocked off my feet! Both he and Garry were there within the hour, driving my car down the slippery curved ramp into the underground garage at my condo. My feet never got wet AND I paid online. The staff at MIDAS have always gone out of their way for me as a customer during the 30+ years I've brought my cars to their shop. Their emphasis on courtesy and efficiency was so evident in Garry and Paul that day....thank you so much guys! Charlotte H.
We really liked the resort itself, the rooms, the pool area, the bar and the restaurant. The location is great too, far enough out of town/Victoria but not too far. Our only issue was with the staff, they weren’t very friendly for the most part and everything took long. I’d still recommend it because not all staff members seemed to hate their jobs.
