“I have never had a facial before and this visit was amazing !!!
I was greeted as I entered the salon and Aysha came to the lobby to usher me back. She was so kind and friendly. After I changed, she helped me on to the table and explained the process. An instructor came over, checked my skin and made recommendations for the products to be used. Aysha was so gentle and explain ed each procedure and product. I felt so comfortable, relaxed abd pampered. I could see instant results of a firmed and clearer skin. I loved this experience!!!

My daughter enjoyed her experience, she was happy the whole time. as one lady was cutting her hair, there was another lady entertaining my daughter. We came in for some bangs, and we got the “1st haircut” package.. they took a before and after picture , she even got a lollipop at the end! my daughter is 11 months old, and they did such a great job.“

“I'm new to Phoenix and spent months searching for the right stylist. After reading countless reviews, I finally decided on Alejandro at Salon D'Shayn and I'm so glad I did.
From the very first consultation, Alejandro came across as both personalbe and highly knowledgable about hair coloring. He has now colored ny hair three times , and each time he has made excellent suggestions for blening shades that look natural and flattering. What impressed me most is taht he was completely accomodating when I explained that, due to allergies, I hve to use specific product that most salons refuse to work with. Instead of resiting, he was professional and supportive, which made me feel comfortable and cared for.
On top of that, his haircuts are extremely flattering and he has a great eye for detail.

“I made the mistake of going to a different salon (not Salon Jo-el) first in central Phoenix, where the stylist made a total mess of my hair. It was tiger striped and looked awful. Skeptical to let anyone touch my hair again, I found Rachel who totally listened and made me feel at ease. She took her time showing me different colors and cuts, never rushing me. She took on a BIG project at the end of her day last minute and made my hair look 1000% better, so thank you Rachel <3 I no longer have to walk around like a 2003 Karen on MTV and that’s a win!“

I made the mistake of coloring my hair at home, hoping for a light brown but ended up with nearly black hair. After trying multiple color removers, I was left with a mix of red and dark brown that looked uneven and damaged. “Took my daughter to get her hair cut and styled for the first time here and her experience and outcome was not good.

The stylist agreed to take steps as she cut away the length, but totally disreguarded and the cut looked nothing like the several pics my daughter showed the hairdresser. We are expecting a call from the owner or manager to dicuss the bad experience. The front counter staff was the only good experience when we arrived. They were very friendly.

8/22/2025 Update. My daughter called immediatley after the poor experience with the initial hairdresser and they set an appointment with the manager to repair and fix the cut. Once again the staff was very receptive, and the manager took her back to see what they could do. My daughter said the experience was a complete turnaround, and there was plenty of communication during the process. The manager had identified areas the previous stylist failed to address, and areas missed. This was a great recovery by the Madison Ave manager's abilities to recover a botched and complete failure from start to finish haircut by her employee. I applaud you for a great comeback story. I gave this place an updated 2 star, to a current 5, as it is a tough job to fix someone elses mess. I know the owners dad Bill and he is the reason I recommended this Madison Avenue initially. Super job!“
