I was hired at COPA Florian as a family mentor. The onboarding process took about 2 to 3 weeks. In that time, I was on the verge of a surprising episode of psychosis. I had training from 9am to 5 but i knew I needed a couple weeks to take care of myself before taking care of someone else. I told my supervisor I needed to push back my training for mental health a couple weeks and i got fired. As a patient at copa, I told a couple other employees about the supervisor and they told me I dodged a bullet.
