We just finished our puppy obedience and behavioral training with Dale, from the very first training class Dale taught us how to work with Bodhi to become a better dog and us better dog owners. Bodhi was and still is a typical puppy but since working with Dale we understand how to deal with his issues and Bodhi is so much better after our 8 weeks of training. I particularly like that we had training at our home and at various places around town. I would highly recommend Top Gun Dog Training to anyone with a new puppy or even older dogs that need training. This past summer, we took in a 4 yr old female German Shepherd after her owner passed away. We already had 3 female dogs at home, one of which was a 3 yr old German Shepherd. Piper, the new pup, had a bit of anxiety. Our other dogs seemed to view some of this behavior as aggression, which ultimately led to not one, but two physical altercations that sent Piper to the vet’s office on both occasions with wounds in need of stapling. We were beside ourselves thinking that for this sweet girl’s wellbeing, we might have to rehome her. Feeling desperate for help, we looked into the top dog trainers in and around Huntsville. As soon as we spoke with Dale from Top Gun Dog Training, we knew if anyone had the ability to help us it would be him. He understood exactly what was happening in our home, and knew what needed to be done. As soon as Piper met Dale, we could see they would have a wonderful bond. By the end of her first session, we could already see so much progress. Our biggest takeaway from all of the training, was that we needed it even more than she did! Not only did we see how much Piper was learning, but we also realized that since Dale started working with us, the dogs hadn’t had a single fight. Piper graduated from training today, and is now part of the pack at home. In just 8 sessions, Dale was able to teach Piper (and us) so much, she is calmer and is much more manageable now. Top Gun Dog Training and Dale made it possible for Piper to have her forever home with us!!
Dale was an excellent trainer. He takes his role seriously and has a heart for the dogs and the families. I highly recommend hiring Dale to train your dog-Kane responded beautifully to Dale’s leadership and instruction. It was a great experience for our entire family.
