Our young female Kelpie mix did the board and train with Balanced K-9 Academy for 4 weeks. Her training has greatly decreased her reactivity and given her the ability to follow basic commands as well as being able to self-calm. The change in her behavior and willingness to obey us is amazing. And you could tell she loved Alec! We were thoroughly instructed on how to reinforce and continue her training at home. I highly recommend them! Alec is great.
I lost my shepherd in Dec of last year - I have a rescued American Staffordshire Terrier that had bonded with her and agreed to take in a 4 yr old German Shepherd that had been trained 3 years earlier but through no fault of the previous owner or the dog, the dog was left to his own devices in an apartment and various sitters would come take him out and play and take him to Dog Parks - but no real discipline...I realized this dog was way beyond my ability to bring him back to where he needs to be for me to handle him....literally in two weeks I have a new dog - I need to continue his training to keep him at his best of course - but I am an absolute believer in the NePoPo® Dog Training method and will forever be grateful to Nick and Alec....Alec has the patience of JOB when it came to explaining and training me when he turned my dog back over to me - and clearly my dog was thrilled with Alec as well. I brought my dog home and I could not be happier. I highly recommend these folks - I love the facility, I love watching how the dogs respond and I am over the moon at how well my dog responded in 2 weeks and what I am able to do with him now.
Left my boy with Nick&his staff while visiting Huntsville and I couldn't be more impressed. From the customer service to the cleanliness of the big training room. Wonderful facility with a friendly and very accommodating staff. I've spent years running &working kennels and this place feels like home vs the usual industrial feel or jail like vibe most give off with their smells&sounds.
