Our young female Kelpie mix did the board and train with Balanced K-9 Academy for 4 weeks. Her training has greatly decreased her reactivity and given her the ability to follow basic commands as well as being able to self-calm. The change in her behavior and willingness to obey us is amazing. And you could tell she loved Alec! We were thoroughly instructed on how to reinforce and continue her training at home. I highly recommend them! Alec is great.
We had a great experience with Nick at Balanced K9 Academy. We left our Australian Shepherd puppy, Navy, with him for a two week board-and-train program while we went out of town. We also did several classes before we left so that Navy would be comfortable. She LOVED it. She came home with a lot of new skills, but the best part was that we never had to worry about her while we were gone. Nick has also done a great job teaching us how to work with Navy at home so we can build on everything she’s learned. We are very happy with the progress she’s made and we would definitely recommend Nick and Balanced K9 Academy.
I've taken my pup to at least 3 other trainers. We didn't learn much from them. I started researching local dog trainers and came across Balanced K9 Academy. I contacted Nick and scheduled an evaluation of my pup. In meeting Nick and asking questions, he reall totally understands the way dogs think and process commands. And knows how to properly and effectively train them. So I trusted Nick with my 8 month old Cane Corso for his 4 week board and train.Before training, my pup lacked confidence and was very reactive. When I went to pick my pup up, he was a totally different dog. He was so confident in himself and had no reaction to the things that he reacted to before....read full review
